He was the number one reason people didn’t vote Labour last time. Of course he’s going to be distanced. If only he did just speak up for refugees and make jam, and not say equivocate on defence, repeat Russian propaganda after an attack on our soil, or hang around with some very dodgy people, maybe he’d have kept his initial popularity.

The motion passed with a huge majority. Isn’t that the opposite of the cracks starting to appear. Even Jon Lansman has said he will be campaigning for Starmer at the next election and Corbyn shouldn’t stand against the (Labour) party as an independent. You know that the gig is up for Corbyn when the guy who was involved in his leadership campaign and then formed momentum says it is.

Well Lansman would say that, wouldn't he? He knows Corbyn if standing in his current seat is likely to win and therefore likely to take a safe Labour seat.

Not sure the gig is up really is it, when his gig is actually about helping people.. and he’ll carry on doing it, with or without the help of the Labour Party.

It's a bizarre move from Starmer really - the public understand well enough by now that the party under his leadership is nothing like it was under Corbyn.

We’re talking about a man pivotal in running Corbyns leadership campaign, a founding member of momentum aka the Corbyn fan club, a Jewish man who defended Corbyn to the hilt over the antisemitism criticism, someone who has always been on the far left of the party working for Tony Benn. Seems the least likely member to “say that” if you ask me.

Well yes given that he's above everything else concerned with getting Labour elected (with broadly socialist policies under the leadership of Corbyn), you being a Tory, mistakenly think of Momentum with being a vehicle for Corbyn's election more than it was Labour's.

How is expelling Corbyn advancing the cause of getting him elected?
Do you think anyone has said I know Starmer hasnt laid out any concrete plans for fixing our ailing economy and crumbling infrastructure but nows he's expelled Corbyn he's getting my vote.
The centrists are far more obsessed with Corbyn than anyone on the left of the party.
He's a pensioner who's never going to get near the front benches again but who's a long standing and popular MP in a little corner of London, just let him carry on and deal with the actual issues that are fucking over a large portion of the people in this country.
