It'll not be that much, it'll be a tweet from a journalist based on a comment from a Labour source about what they thought

It would seem I've read more than you given you keep using it as an anti Starmer weapon.

It’s a bit of a nonsense though isn’t it…

Corbyn is somehow the most inept leader Labour have ever produced whilst simultaneously being an absolute danger to Starmer’s chance of taking power by pottering around and speaking up for refugees and making jam.

He was the number one reason people didn’t vote Labour last time. Of course he’s going to be distanced. If only he did just speak up for refugees and make jam, and not say equivocate on defence, repeat Russian propaganda after an attack on our soil, or hang around with some very dodgy people, maybe he’d have kept his initial popularity.

Talking of pathetic, the government's latest offer to teachers in England is as follows

A 4.5% rise, only 0.5% of which is to be funded by the government-all the rest to come out of school budgets.
The offer only stands if all unions either recommend their members to accept, or are neutral.

NEU is recommending all members to reject this offer. In fact it isn't an offer, it's an insult. English teachers are now the worst paid in the UK- for comparison

Wales offered 6.5%
Scotland offered 7+
Teach Maths instead then 🤣🤣

How exciting

Like somebody said below, has he ever met any real people or are his team strictly stage managing who he meets given how flustered he gets at any remotely awkward question?

The motion passed with a huge majority. Isn’t that the opposite of the cracks starting to appear. Even Jon Lansman has said he will be campaigning for Starmer at the next election and Corbyn shouldn’t stand against the (Labour) party as an independent. You know that the gig is up for Corbyn when the guy who was involved in his leadership campaign and then formed momentum says it is.

Well Lansman would say that, wouldn't he? He knows Corbyn if standing in his current seat is likely to win and therefore likely to take a safe Labour seat.

Anything from Mr Starmer on the pay award to teachers or in fact any of the striking workers? Nothing. Impressive 4-D mental ju-jitsu no doubt

If he chooses to stand as an independent he will win and comfortably.

Not sure the gig is up really is it, when his gig is actually about helping people.. and he’ll carry on doing it, with or without the help of the Labour Party.

It's a bizarre move from Starmer really - the public understand well enough by now that the party under his leadership is nothing like it was under Corbyn.

Aside from Starmer not being Corbyn and not being a Tory, what are the selling points of his Labour party? What are they offering? When are they going to tell us?

Nothing - he is advised by morons who think that being Thatcherites is the key to No. 10. He has no answers for what society needs to progress in the future.

He is the worst Labour leader at the worst possible time.

Would he? We’re talking about a man pivotal in running Corbyns leadership campaign, a founding member of momentum aka the Corbyn fan club, a Jewish man who defended Corbyn to the hilt over the antisemitism criticism, someone who has always been on the far left of the party working for Tony Benn. Seems the least likely member to “say that” if you ask me.

Well the old momentum crank actually said he shouldn’t have got rid of him and the comments seem to suggest he’s rather out of touch

Well yes given that he's above everything else concerned with getting Labour elected (with broadly socialist policies under the leadership of Corbyn), you being a Tory, mistakenly think of Momentum with being a vehicle for Corbyn's election more than it was Labour's.

I haven’t mistakenly thought anything. That just happens to be who the guy is. You’re trying to project opinion on me. I haven’t stated opinion, I’ve stated fact. If there’s anything that you think I’ve got wrong from his CV by all means point it out.

Perhaps we're at cross purposes

The gig is up for Corbyn in Labour: Agreed

The gig is up for Corbyn in Islington North: No

Starmer will be wearing a kilt soon and eating Haggis - safe to say Scotland is remaining in the union and Mcuseless is going to lose seats very quickly

Now now, we've already been told on this thread it's all part of a clever plan and when he gets elected he will suddenly reveal loads of left wing policies he's going to implement

Maybe he will, maybe he won't.

But he can't do fuck all if he doesn't get elected.

Perfect policy in opposition is pointless. Something the Corbyn cult don't seem to have grasped.

So he’s lying to get in power and unleash a socialist agenda that the public didn’t vote for?

An opposition is supposed to have an alternate agenda. Why would anyone vote for someone to get elected without convincing anyone he’s worthy to serve

Corbyn cult. What the fuck is that?

Fucks sake, I've read some shit on here in my time, and posted a fair bit but that takes the biscuit

How is expelling Corbyn advancing the cause of getting him elected?
Do you think anyone has said I know Starmer hasnt laid out any concrete plans for fixing our ailing economy and crumbling infrastructure but nows he's expelled Corbyn he's getting my vote.

The centrists are far more obsessed with Corbyn than anyone on the left of the party.
He's a pensioner who's never going to get near the front benches again but who's a long standing and popular MP in a little corner of London, just let him carry on and deal with the actual issues that are fucking over a large portion of the people in this country.
