Said it before and got laughed at, but will say it again…if he sticks around he’s got captain potential for me.

Ben Sheaf has just signed a new contract anextending h
But you assured us vik had and was going nowhere. Will you need therapy when it turns out you are wrong? You would prefer us let him leave for nothing than for you to be wrong wouldn't you?

Vik will be gone 100%!!! I would imagine that the newly established scouting team will have already given a list to MR on potential realistic replacements and maybe 1 or 2 future prospects that the club can develop. Will be interesting to see what DK gives in terms of funds to the transfer budget from the sale.
We have to be realistic on this as much as Vik might like it here, he just needs to sign a bit of paper and his wages go up 4 fold and he gets a massive payout for signing… no brainer.

Vik seems to be handling the recent speculation very professionally....with statements like "I'm just concentrating on my current form", etc. Some of the clubs rumoured to be interested in him could be relegated, so until the end of the season Vik's agent can compile information on possible options. Additionally, I would guess of interest from either Bayern or Dortmund.
If Vik doesn't sign a new contract then the club will either gamble on retaining him and hoping for promotion to the PL, which is worth £100m+ or will try to sell to the highest bidder.
The risk for Vik in not moving on for a big money contract next season or is the prospect of a bad injury, which could leave him unemployed.

Don't doubt he likes it here, seems to get on well with the players and the fans love him.

While there is a slim chance of getting in the play offs, perhaps he's content to concentrate on the job in hand and see where we end up. From his point of view, plenty of time in the summer to think about extending his contract or moving to somewhere where he can earn big money.

Instantly I thought we’d scored a goal after reading this, but it’s not a match day. Nor is it even the right day to score on a match day. Not to mention the wrong thread.

Good news about Sheaf, crucial in that DMF role for us. One down, a few more to go. ⚽️

We have never been strong in the transfer market (selling) but what I will say is that Chris Wood went to Newcastle not long back for £25m!!!! We could fetch £30m but it does depend on our board standing up to these clubs.
I said on another thread no reason he wouldn’t fetch isak money. He is an absolute beast

It’s easy to say but if he gets no one buying buy the end of august then in reality he’s leaving for nothing a few months later
