OK look il tell you what started pissing me off recently about godden ..

We'd play a match , say Stoke 4 nil , and fans like yourself would come out and say things like , but godden was shit .. hold on .. we've conceded 4 goals , so the fact your first thought is matty godden suggests a problem with the player has developed in your head ..

We didn't lose to Stoke because of matty godden , and he wasn't anywhere near the worst player on the pitch either .. he can't be , we've shipped 4 goals , he's at the other end of the pitch

Wilson-Esbrand, Sheaf and Godden all really good today

Gyokeres missed some good chances and too selfish at times. Constantly on at his teammates as well

This just isn't true , I agree his spell here in general has been pretty poor .. but today he was a threat for much of the game .. first 20 minutes he was a bit meh .. his delivery first half was also a bit meh ..

Second half they generally were shit scared of him

Point is he's definitely earned more than a 5.5

But it's to do with the set up Evo and it's pretty much what people on here are saying. I was quite harsh on Vik today, that doesn't mean I've got a vendetta against him.

There's not many players I've loved more than Godden in recent years but at this level he's limited and injuries haven't helped him. Similar to Dabo.

He ran them ragged in the last 15 minutes. The other 75 he was totally anonymous. He was our worst player and have marked him as such. You don't agree, that's fine.

I don't hate him, I just don't rate him. I don't particularly rate JWE but to be fair he had a good game. I gave Cuffy an 8 I think against Millwall because he deserved it, I gave him a 5.5 today because I think he deserved it. A game is 90 minutes not 15.

I think part of the issue is there’s a choice to be made there. The midfield and back threes GK aren’t going to change. It’s who partners Vik and the WBs that are up for discussion because we have fit options.

True. If you're a Watford fan you're not going away from that game thinking they've thrown away a 2-0 lead because Coventry suddenly turned in quality. You're pointing the finger directly at their own team for falling apart.

I thought godden worked very hard , Robins alluded to it in his interview , his workrate was brilliant .

Away from the arguing , it's nice to see him score and assist

And for somebody who is always under fire on here , its 4 goals and 2 assists in his last 10 matches .. which is a fair return

And 7 in 25 this season which again , is a fair return

Irrelevant. I said at half time that sheaf had been our best player and I said after the game he was man of the match. I do agree that BNC was our worst performer over 90 minutes, but did have a good last 15.

Cuffy and JWE were ok in the last 15 minutes. But first half especially, they were absolutely woeful. Neither could be arsed to sprint/run into the acres of space they were afforded by Watford. Both very very lazy.

JWE atleast looks the part , Cuffy looks a clumsy bumbling footballer. Don’t particularly rate either of them. Especially when we have Dabo / Burroughs / Bidwell who can all play there and are OUR players. These two haven’t got the heart to play at this time of the season when it really matters. JWE let the Watford player go past him like he wasn’t there for the second goal, no attempt to even put a challenge in or bring him down.

He was decent second half. Did exactly what we have been saying we need from him. He was involved in general play, and scored a goal. We can't afford games where he is anonymous and not doing either of those things. In the second half he did.
