It doesn't prove that Bidwell is bad at going forward though, does it?
Somebody could complete a million passes a game but do nothing with it.
He has created goals and scored one. Other fullbacks haven't regardless of how many touches they have.
I’m sure up until recently Bidwell has played in every game this season, yet apparently Robins doesn’t rate him.
Yes, Mondays game was the first time he's not made an appearance this season.I’m sure up until recently Bidwell has played in every game this season, yet apparently Robins doesn’t rate him.
Did he? Or did Birmingham just come in with a reasonable bid for him which we felt was a good deal and worth cashing in on?Well he tried to offload him in January and probably will do in the summer.
It proves that he isn't very attacking. It's there in black and white.
Good point. You can pass give a simple pass inside to someone 40 yards from goal. If they shoot it's a key pass. The high key pass to assist ratio that Bidwell obviously has, suggests that when he does create something, it's usually a decent chance. It doesn't prove that Bidwell is bad at going forward though, does it?

Again, it depends on how you want to define it doesn't it.
You could say he doesn't attack because he doesn't have touches in the box but he could be whipping perfect crosses onto the heads of players. A player could have 10000 touches in the opposition box but kick it out of play or complete 10000 passes to the centre half next to them, it proves nothing.
God you've thought way too much about this & put way too much effort in
You'd have a point if he wasn't bottom of every stat though.
Bidwell has scored one goal in 56 appearances for us, so their respective goalscoring rates are not significant statistically. Also Bidwell's scoring rate throughout his career is hardly great, at 8 in over 400 appearances. Basically he has consistently scored fewer than one goal a season throughout his career. JWE has a handful of appearances so any comparison on goalscoring is meaningless.Apart from assists and goals..... The main attacking stats.
At least you've now moved on from Allen.Well he tried to offload him in January and probably will do in the summer.
I like Bidwell, just het the impression Robins wants another option and Bidwell wants to be first choice.

I don’t even understand what the argument is here everyone is pretty much saying the same thing.
Watching Nick and PVA trying to interpret stats is pretty hilarious though.
What are you on about?
Inssid Bidwell's attacking stats are poor... then posted said poor stats.
What exactly have I misinterpreted there?
I was just pointing out that you can't make any judgements based on 1 goal in 56 appearances versus 0 goals in 11 (most of which are short appearances).Whet about assists
Much like bidwell wouldn't if somebody else has a touch in between?I was just pointing out that you can't make any judgements based on 1 goal in 56 appearances versus 0 goals in 11 (most of which are short appearances).
Haven't looked into assists, but given the small amount of time JWE has played I don't see how any stats would tell us anything. Generally I think assists are meaningless anyway. For example JWE was clearly instrumental in Sheaf's goal on Saturday but he wouldn't get an assist as Godden touched the ball.
Dabo can be very clinical just look at the oxford game in 2019Much like bidwell wouldn't if somebody else has a touch in between?
How many has dabo scored in more games?
First point, yes which proves my point about them being largely meaningless.Much like bidwell wouldn't if somebody else has a touch in between?

why are you all even slagging off our players??
I noticed that too. It actually happens a lot on both sides. This one stood out because we scoredWhat impressed me on Monday was the decision to lay back to Doyle for the cross to equalize. He was half past his man and has the skill to get a cross in but took the better option
Happier if he wore clown shoes and a squirty flower while doing it?What a dull way to prove a point
So I have compared Bidwell with JWE (his competition), Alfie Doughty (the LWB for the next team above us that plays wing backs) and Ryan Manning (the LWB for the next team below us that plays wing backs – and of course Bidwell's replacement at Swansea).

Bottom in every single stat. Some of them are only marginal tbf, but some are just miles off.
So yes he takes up forward positions a lot, but he doesn’t do much with those positions, and Robins is clearly looking for more.
If Robins only looked at the assist column as some on here seem to think he does then he wouldn’t be looking to bin him off for a more attacking alternative.
I will gladly engage in a discussion about this with anyone willing because it's an interesting topic, but I'm sure it will just be met by laughing emojis from Grendel and Boosh.
We look very defensive across the 5 in midfield, which is a surprise as we are at home against a very poor QPR.Robins clearly hasn’t seen your expert analysis looking at today’s team selection

Maybe Hamer will be given licence to push forward a bit more than usual, otherwise I feel a 0-0 bore fest.
Anticipating the stadium deal going pear shaped already I guess!home?
Away obviously, although who knows where we will play next season?home?
