Didn't mean it personally. Doug hasn't been here when we've needed to open the South Stand.

In fact, Boddy was here when we had the community day against Gillingham and used the South Stand.
maybe if they walked in the concourse, they could see where the split would be, and then just need a part of a block segregation

Ok, well next forum's question is whether the club is happy for reps to offer their interpretation of these meetings without it affecting access.
There’s a danger to reps interpreting stuff isn’t there? That’s why you have a record so we can follow things up
You’ll see in the notes a question about credit card merchants and when we get paid as a club
The answer evolves and so I gently pushed it and got nowhere
You’ll also see that Doug was very clear that increased revenues will mainly come from season tickets and ticketing policy. He sees his investment towards the infrastructure and i broadly agree with him. However and I didn’t push this in order to inspire the community and get people on board with a project you need a level of honesty and transparency that very few people in football (or business) are willing to do.
Normally Dave is pretty good at not changing my notes to avoid challenge. I respect that.

Feel the fact the stadium deal is not imminent is being overlooked somewhat...
The longer this goes on the more worrying it is. Not from a we won't be in Cov next year pov really, more that the longer it goes on the greater the chance people will use any money they've got set aside for season tickets for other things

How many people have got their money saved up in the bank and are now looking at using it for a nice holiday with zero sign of season tickets going on sale

Thanks Nick, I guess the question to ask would be what exactly do they do, close connection is rather vague.

Following that, are there any plans for the club to provide additional funding to help them progress to the WSL rather than the local league they are in.

Db kept saying sag don’t make this decision as it’s about numbers and not safety
It’s a police decision to limit the visiting fan numbers to less than 6000 based on many variables
You are correct about evidence based decision making
Do you know if he meant the police advise this as part of their role on the SAG or its a red line where the police dictate that there is no other option

Either way think it would be worthwhile the club pushing them to justify it. We seem to be the only club in the country whose fans are treated like this and the evidence, both anecdotally and from the stats published, shows that are fans are far from the worst behaved

At some point if the police are insisting on this there has to be some push back on why they aren't capable of policing a football match in the same manner that happens all around the country every week without issue

Although at the same time I can see why its not a top priority for anyone when there's 10K empty seats every week

I think when the club has limited funds the chances of a load of cash being dumped into the women's side is pretty low

One thing that bugs me is they say there's a close link but the club can't even be bothered to supply them with kits. Can we at least get all teams playing under the Coventry City name playing in the same kits. That's not going to break the bank

And maybe push their games on the clubs socials as we do u23 games or the youth team game this week. Again we don't need a running commentary but flagging up that games are happening and posting the result isn't going to cost anything

Agree with all of that, @Sky Blue Pete this probably explains it better than me

Exactly that
Doug will push if seats are going unsold

It was more a reflection
Colin chairs and I take notes
Colin not available so I agree to chair and ask by email and verbally for someone to make notes and no one volunteers
Bizarre
Suppose it’s the same the world over - people expect an opinion and a voice but ask them to do something a little different and it’s oh no I can’t
Some reps were whinging about the date and the time. Bizarre
I assume they don't allow you to record it so you can do a summary afterwards?

Ta for what you do anyway Pete, at least they let one of us in.

Now that’s an interesting idea
I’ll suggest that next time
We record all our calls at work now. We have to check people don’t mind but why would you and if someone missed the meeting they can catch up if they want

Pete said the club would be reading this thread (which wouldn't surprise me), so hopefully this can be actioned on.
The social media presence should be an easy fix / win. Similarly, perhaps some coverage in programme / on website?
Kit - perhaps trickier if they already have a deal with a different kit supplier, but something we could offer to help with in future?

Imagine the exposure if they got to play once at the CBS, would be pretty special

Just checked regarding kits, the first team photo have a sky blue Nike kit (similar to ours a few years ago), so might be a stumbling block.

Why is no one bothered about the no stadiun deal being imminent?

Weve got 2 games left there and with fuck all on the horizon i feel somethings not right

The club doesn’t have a choice, if a stadium deal at the CBS isn’t sorted we will be hit with a points deduction. I fear the worst

It’s why I pushed Doug on it and he wouldn’t and probably couldn’t say. They know and the arena know there is no alternative to ccfc playing there
I don’t get why they just don’t sit in a room until it’s sorted but I’m not a multi millionaire

I swear there's roller shutters that can be deployed to segregate the concourse. I saw them down at about block 17 or 18 at either the Northampton League cup game or the Derby FA cup game

I'm sure there are some people who may work this way but surely it can't be that many? Getting a ST is a massive commitment so you already have to be committed to spending every other Saturday at football. Would you sacrifice that commitment for something else because the thing you know you're going to buy isn't on sale yet? We know they are going to be on sale, so why would the timing of when it goes on sale make that much of a difference.

Perhaps it's naivety on my behalf and more people work that way than I imagine, it just seems to me more like an excuse that someone who was never getting a ST is using for not getting one.

Want to give people reasons to get one though rather than giving them excuses to not but I agree

It's definitely important to get on the stage before WSL gets too big. Man United jumped in at a good time.

What do you think the crowd would be for a one off game under the Coventry City badge?

Well the last women’s game at the CBS has dwarfed every crowd we’ve ever had there.

If Coventry Ladies were to play Arsenal Women, there would be a bigger crowd than Coventry men v Arsenal men for sure

How many went when Cov Ladies played there before?
