QPR player ratings (8 Viewers)

Right, time for some ratings from someone who will not get carried away beating a team who are bottom of the football league form table over the last 20 games:

Wilson - 6. Good saves but distribution shite as per. Couple of long lump down fields to no one when we could have countered.

Norton-Cuffy - 3. Plays like he’s got ice skates on not boots. Will never make it at Premier League OR Championship level.

McNally - 5. Sloppy first half and gave the ball away a few times. Improved

McFadz - 6. Decent enough performance whilst not doing anything spectacular.

Doyle - 6. As above. Will end up at a bottom-half Premier League club IMO.

Bidwell - 5. Meh. Did what needs to be done. Shite going forward.

Sheaf - 8. Ran the show as per usual. Marked down for giving the ball away in a dangerous position once. Our most important player imo.

Hamer - 9. Different gravy. Him & Sheaf are the only players on our team who can find a pass and shoot.

Eccles - 1. Christ. What does he offer? Awful football player. Allen 2.0.

Gyok - 5. Done his very best to miss both chances despite them being easier to score. I’ve said it before - he is a very average finisher and ridiculously greedy. Any offer of 10m and we should be snapping hands off.

Godden - 2. Needs to go. Well out of his depth at this level to the point I almost feel bad for him.

Subs
Dabo - 3.
Walker - 6. Showed in about 5 minutes why he should be starting over Godden.
JWE - 5.

Not really sure what some people expect from Eccles, personally I think he's had a brilliant season.
There’s a number on here looking for a candidate to replace Shipley, Wilson, Allen as the boo-boy, looks to me Eccles could fit their bill.

I don't think anyone is looking for a boo boy just looking at quality players and atm Eccles isn't one but he had a decent game yesterday but if we was to get promoted I don't think he would be getting much game time in the prem, thats not booing its realism!

I find the criticism of Eccles by some on here is terrible. The kid has played about 30 games at most and some want him to be a world beater. His progress this season has been tremendous same again next season and we will have a great player on our hands.
It's only a few troll accounts isn't it? I think most posters rate him highly.

I think he'll really kick on next year with those games under his belt we've seen it with other players

Nah it’s Bidwell - he’s already fallen victim to a failed stats attack.
Bidwell , dabo , godden , Eccles

I'd say they are the top 4 .

That being said Eccles frustrated first half and he wasn't at his best , he was slow in possession often ponderous , most of their set pieces came from his mistakes ..

Better second half

His progress has been very good and it’s all the more sweeter that’s he’s another academy player stepping up to the first team.

I don't know how you have the nerve to talk about boo boys given your sustained views on Wilson this season 🤫🤣
I think he’s definitely improved a lot - I’d still look to bring in a new number one at the end of next season once Moore’s contract is up.
I’ve never resorted to digging up obscure stats and dedicating threads to criticising him though.

Tbf Wilson was a pretty fucking horrendous keeper for quite a while, what's happened this season and at his age is confusing, rare, pleasing... no one saw it coming though, not even Robins if we're honest.

Oh no doubt about it, he was a liability when he first joined.

But the stick he got at the start of this season was totally unwarranted.

Not sure why Eccles has flown under the radar - even now, some people don't seem to think he merits a place in the squad. He's been really important to us this season.

They're not obscure stats, they're kind of stats looked at by every team in football.

He's a very solid player and that new contract looks better by the game.

It's because Eccles doesn't have an area of his game that you can look at and say 'that's what he does brilliantly'. He doesn't stand out.

Like Eccles a lot, he’s got a really good eye for a pass that’s closer to Sheaf and Hamer than Kelly and Allen in that role. He’s also athletic and good in the tackle. Perfect Sheaf cover or in a three for me.

Why did we sign Bidwell then?

What were Eccles stats from yesterday?

We are so much more solid when he plays. He cuts out opposition attacks and covers for the defenders. For a youngish player he reads the game really well.

In some good news Evo - if Bidwell, Dabo, Godden and Eccles are really in the top 4 of targets - it really shows how desperate the boo boys have become for a target. And how much we have progressed.

I personally will never understand the need for some so called supporters of our club to be so critical of any player they have personally singled out for abuse. Can’t think of anything that is more damaging to our team.

Eccles has only played a few games in CM but is getting better. They will bulk him up and he will get more confidence with minutes played. He is learning on the job and is showing improvement, which is all we can ask of a player. Fans have to understand the game will start to slow down for him and that's when he will start to see the picture and make better decisions with the ball. He is a bit frantic at the minute and does cover a lot of ground closing down the ball. He definitely slows down the opposition and closes passing lanes well.

His ball to Vik shows he has ability to use his feet and that part of his game will get better. But for others to play with the ball you need others to be disciplined and busy to create turn overs. He does the stuff most dont see and dont respect, but i guarantee the players and staff see all and know the importance of squad players doing a job for the greater good. I understand why sone dont see it and understand better players are out there but with all our injuries he has become very valuable player and is a young player doing his job.

Our record with Eccles in CM this season is excellent. I think it's played 14, won 10, lost only 1 (when starting).

Obviously that's not all down to Eccles, but it shows we aren't weakened when he's in the side.

I couldn't be bothered to work it out but thought our record with Eccles playing would be good. He was also in the side at RWB for our good run pre World Cup.
