Bidwell down the wing (1 Viewer)

When you score you make the Coventry sing

Bidwell on the wing, bidwell bidwell on the wing.

Every time you’re on the ball we know, there’s gonna be goal, super bidwell on a role!!!!

struggled with the last line and if anyone has a better idea please have a say :)

heard Celtic sing it the other day and thought what a great tune!

You would. 🤣

Well it’s better than ‘he’s Brazilian’ to a Dutchman and ‘plays for City sky blue and white’ when we don’t play in white.

Let’s not forget the ‘genius’ and ‘legendary on the terraces’ song about our questionable owner which will almost definitely end in tears

Changing it to ‘on a roll’ would be a start, but the biggest problem is that almost never when Bidwell is on the ball do I ‘know there’s gonna be a goal’. The tune's fine, I like him as a player, and I hope he smashes one in from 25 yards tomorrow night. But perhaps the lyrics promise a bit too much? We need to keep the players' feet on the ground at this vital stage of the season.

Maybe something more along the lines of ‘he takes a most distinctive throw-in, and the Prem is where he hopes we’re goin’.

'We are the boys in blue and white" goes back decades. Shall we tell 'em who we are?

Most years there's been white somewhere in the kit, even if it's a detail. Going right back to the 60's the white on the collar and cuffs (although a tiny proportion of the kit) always felt like an important part of it to me.

Whenever a post like this comes up it does give me a pang of perspective that we all sing little songs about random men. Quite weird really. I’m in.

You said “the Coventry” which doesn’t scan instead of the obvious “the City” and got that reason I’m out.

Couldn’t bring myself to sing a song about a man scoring goals… who has scored just one goal. Sorry, it’s a no from me.
