The George Curtis and John Sillett proposals are a non-brainer, both club legends in their own right but i always looked at them as a double act, probably because they played here together and then returned to manage together, so only fitting that they share the honours.
THE GEORGE CURTIS & JOHN SILLETT GRANDSTAND
It would soon lovingly be known as the George & John stand, a statue of the two of them ‘arm in arm’ dancing their Wembley jig would be an amazing memorial and focal point at the entrance to the stand concourse.
THE JIMMY HILL - SOUTH STAND,
Another bona-fide club legend, an extremely opinionated maverick which meant he could never ‘ice everybodys cake’, he certainly didn’t get everything right at Coventry but if you look back over his time at the club it would be extremely difficult to argue that he wasn’t the driving force that catapulted the club into the big time and left them equipped enough to stay there for decades.
My reasoning for Jimmy getting the away stand is I honestly think it would crack him up to think he was still winding up grown men until they’re fit to burst
That would do for now, Mark Robins is doing a fantastic job and long may it continue, another 10 years of progression under him would be superb.
Remember you only have 4 stands available to name and once they’re named that’s it
not sure I’ve ever heard of one that’s named after a club legend, being re-named, and you never know ‘what or who’ might be just around the corner.
