Ffs we've been ground hopping and going season to season, of course 5 years is great news. Some of you will spin the negativity angle out of anything.
It’s good compared to nothing but will soon go by. Where will we be in 10 years?
It’s not necessarily a negative though as keeps us safe while longer term plans can be worked out.

Don't wanna be negative but the Twitter reaction has been nauseating.

Tweets like these are utter bollocks.

SISU gave new deals to O'Hare and Hamer
Kept Robins
Signed a CBS deal double the length of King's

King has done nothing that SISU couldn't/didn't do.

I suppose the massive difference is that sisu were absolute divs , in the flesh for all to see .. doug hasn't had enough time to show us wether he is or not yet

I think it just shows that the club is now being run in a sensible way.

Doug hasn’t signed the club up to something he isn’t happy with long term, nor has he threw his toys out of the pram because he hasn’t instantly got what he wants.

It’s a world apart from from that twat Fisher damaging the club to purposely distress ACL.

This is why I’m cautious on King. I’m waiting to see what he does in the summer - will he give us all the 100m prem money? Or is he funnelling it away to buy more handbags for his missus

If the rumours are true about a price hike will be interesting to see how the rabble react.

I said this on twitter but I'm not jumping for Joy (pardon the pun)

Do we get a new pitch?
Do we get F+B Money?
This deal is half the one we signed with wasps ffs
Again only a licence not a lease

Am i the only one not wanking over this?

Let's he honest I'm sure licence or lease could be broken, but as we only have the stadium on the days of games it might make a lease difficult, but hhen I don't really understand all the legalities, simply happy to have a future sorted. 5 years is a long time in football.

A full lease couldn’t - if we’d had that in the first place we’d be still be on those terms

I think Wasps had a 50 year lease for the rugby club - if they didn’t go bust they’d be still there

Great news on the face of it - CCFC are safe.

Always like to look at reasons for timings and paranoid that MA is a greedy / opportunistic fugger who was interested in Wasps who still haven’t got a stadium. Just did a quick search and apparently Wasps asked the RFU for a year’s grace to get their house in order (stadium etc). Request turned down.

Anyone keeping tabs on them? Do they have to find a stadium in Cov area to play next season?

Anyway. Pleased. Would have been typical Cov to get Prem promotion and be ransomed by MA. I had nightmares that we win playoffs and were refused promotion due to not having a ground.

surely they will wait to see what league we are in?
Maybe if we win tomorrow he'll hedge his bets, and release Season Ticket prices half way between the prospective prem price, and the prospective championship price. So he will mop up lots of sales on the buzz of beating Blues in front of a sell out and then hopefully the feel good factor of making the playoffs, then if we go up, happy days, we get lots of money either way. And if we don't go up we get higher sales at a higher price than if he had waited for us find out we're not going up...

Whether it is on our terms or Frasers us fans have no say in the matter and if it is kicking the can down the road then at least it’s 5 years down the road.
King has given the club some space to progress and plan for the short and medium term.
If it’s on Frasers terms then if we go up during that time frame it will be fine, F&B sales will be irrelevant, but If it goes the other way then god knows what will transpire. Results will determine our future not Frasers.

It sounds like good news if way before the end of these terms they have something more long-term put in place, which the wording suggests is their goal. I can't pretend to understand the ins and outs of licences and leases so I'm just happy we're playing where we should be and not wondering about August.

I'm hopefully this is just a precursor to a more substantial deal, but if its not, it will only be 3 and half years until we're overshadowed by massive uncertainty again, hopefully that won't be the case.

The £1.2m in rent or whatever it was, was also damaging the club and was unsustainable and seemed to be non-negotiable.

But the action we took lost us more money.

I don’t particularly care about the finances of ACL.
I do care about my club being used as collateral to damage ACL.

We were paying Brum £1m

I think the bargain basement original return deal was £300k wasn’t it? Or have I made that up? Id imagine coming back in the Championship it would be a bit more.

Got to wonder exactly how much net benefit the whole thing has had for the club.

The cost of money has gone up so I’d expect the rent to go up. Borrowing 17m (or not having 17m to put on deposit) or whatever Frasers did will cost a lot more with inflation and int rates than it did a couple of years back. Building a £100m stadium will cost huge interest, so we don’t have a lot of choice.

Wasps were desperate and needed to show income / security for attempted refinance. Plus, CBS naming was conditional so made up the rent value in a way.

No doubt it’ll be more.

Probably posted elsewhere, but will it remain CBS Arena is it becoming Frasers Plus?

After all the problems we had with SISU please give Mr King a chance. The situation since he has taken over has been much more stable. I'm just glad it was't them doing negotiations for the ground .They had no negotiation skill any meeting they went into it was "we want" and if they tried that with Frasier Group they would not have lasted ten seconds . We would have become nomads for a year or 2 plus had points deducted give him at least till the summer and even longer.I don't know about you but already since he has come in there is a much more positve outlook.I know some is to do with what going on on the pitch but the upgrading of Ryton that is something unheard of in SISU times as for the Premier League money how much would Mark have seen out of that.
