No it wasn’t😂😂
Junior Sky Blues (JSBs) under the age of 12 are still eligible for a free Season Ticket in the family zone, while JSBs between 12 and 16 have seen their Season Tickets in the family zone reduced to £23, which is just £1 per game.*

For juniors who don’t wish to join the JSBs, the cost of a Season Ticket in the family zone, which will now be situated in blocks 23 and 24 in the East Stand, will still only be £60.

There is no premium zone next season but prices for youngsters in the standard zone have also been cut.
For JSB under-12s, a Season Ticket in that area is just £23 (£1 per game), for JSBs over-12 it’s £46 (£2 per game) and for juniors who don’t become JSBs the cost is £80.

Yes it was.

Can you buy your current seat with the Prem package? Just seems odd current seats reserved are TBC?

I get to an extent why it’s the premium seats and me and my father in law got seats for the first two seasons. We then moved opposite to the West Stand - it’s a Better view and excess to the bar inside the main reception area
As I couldn't justify a season ticket this season due to losing too many Saturdays dealing with family stuff I've tried a few different locations. Came to the same conclusion as you. Great view from the West Stand, better facilities and the queues aren't too bad as most of the people in that stand are in corporate.

I only wish that Joy was sufficiently drunk on power and fan adulation in the first few months of the SISU era to make a Twitter video like King’s one tonight, the meme potential down the line is out of this world.
Jesus. I’ve only just seen it.

I guess at least it’s partly self satire.

They will all be in one area, easier to police.
there is still concessionary pricing in all the other areas.
Yeah, weren't free at Sixfields either.
quite a difference between £23 and £240 though to sit in the non family stand bit, that's the point being made, not that they were always free, and they were free in later seasons to sit anywhere. If you sit with other people that don't want to move it makes the decision difficult.

It's nothing to do with adults getting in Singers corner on kids tickets ffs that's naive to believe that .. the kids increase is all over the stadium , its a money maker .. king himself said the club don't make enough money from kids .

My boy is 4 and have bought him a ST for the past 2 seasons, only for him not to use it yet, but at £25 it was never a problem. Also allowed a mate to buy a ticket and sit in the spare seat with us. He’s becoming mildly interested so I thought next year may be the year he begins joining me regularly, but I’m not going to pay £200 for it to be used sparingly.

I’m equally as annoyed that my seat is unavailable. Somewhere I’d never look to move from to be honest. I seriously hope they consider a U-turn on this.
I think a 're think on behind the goal is possible. However, if it's not would the extended family zone that includes block 31 not a decent option?

They will create their own singers corner, my two youngest grandkids 8 &11 know every word of every song and sing them all the time even say bleep bleep in the Hamer song.

Yes it was.

You've been arguing that the increase from £25 to £200 is just to force jsbs into one area, 'like it used to be'. I've shown from 2016 onwards there was no difference in pricing for jsbs regardless of where they sat and your counter is a screen grab showing that in the season prior there was a massive premium of £1 per game to sit where they wanted. Not much of a gotcha really.

It is hard to police in that extra stewards would negate the money saved on fraudulent kids tickets.
Not really. You have a steward watching the light system. Comes up Amber they check the ticket. Simple really

But if they all move over to the North Stand they'll make even less!

It's literally cheaper next season than last season for kids if they move there. Quite significantly too.

I said the free jsb tickets were in certain blocks. They were at St Andrews also.

And yes, it will cut down on people taking the piss using kids tickets as it's going to be much easier to police in one area.

It's £8 a game to sit wherever now, cheaper than a cinema ticket.

Can’t really think of a time where a club has changed season ticket pricing after announcement so I guess we’re stuck with this.

That’s the simple bit but as I said you’ve got to pay for these stewards.
There’s already stewards standing at each turnstile. So wouldn’t cost any more. They have too many stewards in my opinion. You have 50 stood in the tunnel between away and home fans.

I see the Doug King video opposite to a few on here - it’s tongue in cheek and he’s happy to not take himself too seriously.

I don’t think the DK hype is fully justified, but an owner who’s willing to do that, show passion at games and want to be part of what’s happening at the club, is surely a positive, not another reason to moan.

Good man.

I think others would move happily if they opened Block 30
They will end up opening it , the family zone won't be able to cope with the blocks allocated .. the demand will be too high based on cost.. wouldn't surprise me to see much of the stand behind the goal full by the season start and half the tesco empty
3400 JSBs this season, plenty more youngsters ontop of that

Joy wore a sky blue dress on Sky and went to games too and clapped.

It's a bit too hard to judge based on that, Mike Ashley used to drink pints with the fans etc.

Hopefully Doug King doesn't go too much like his brother....

Yeah that will likely happen.

that’s what stewards or turnstile staff should be checking using the light system as people walk in. It’s not hard to police, instead they’ve gone down a route of impacting fans with kids for no reason
Well, it is for a steward if said person, who is effectively stealing, starts hurling abuse at the steward for stopping them. Much harder to deal with once they're already in the ground. Could lead to some very unsavoury incidents with people being forcibly escorted out.

potentially, value wise it’s superb. I don’t want to expose my sporadic potty mouth to hoards of youngsters 🤣

I’d rather sit in my seat and pay more in all honesty. We have the shelf above the steps, no-one else around us and a view which is priceless 😎

Thing is, they know some will pay it. I could pay a total of £650 to sit in the family zone, but in the end I'll have to pay £1300 to stay in the corner, that's how much I value the difference in matchday experience. Guess they are banking on that.
