We will, but in the meantime we can either choose to be optimistic and hopeful that King is going to invest his money seeing as he wants we the fans to also.
The proof will ultimately be in the pudding. But I think Robins has not sounded happier since King came in tbh. He seems positive about the future. If Robins is then why shouldn't we be positive also?

Yes I'd imagine we will. And we all know under SISU crumbs of that would be reinvested. If Vik goes and we use those funds to keep the rest of our players increase our strength in depth to really push on and cement a top 6 place then we would all be happy.

For me seeing the stuff at Ryton is great but it's mainly for the players and staff and club long term, but for us as fans (and I'm sure King knows this) what we see is the team on the pitch. And we will judge it on that. And if he delivers some exciting signings and contract extentions etc I think most of us would be feeling pretty confident for next season.

Because you may as well have one of us in charge if the owner doesn’t wish to spend their own money. Most other owners seem to provide something over and above the club’s turnover unless I’m mistaken.

He bought out SISU - that will have cost him £££££££s. They used to levy charges on the club, as well as harming the balance sheet with interest charges. If he has put us back on an even keel, I think it's a bit unfair to start asking him where his 'further millions' are. If he gets us operating on a relatively sustainable basis, I'll be happy (obviously we hope that leads to on the pitch success). If MR is happy with him, and optimistic, that'll do for me, for now.

I don’t expect him to pump in silly money. But if the plan is to put in nothing above what the club makes, you may as well have it fan run. Most owners do put in something extra each season at our level and above.

There is zero evidence he has spent any money - last time I looked the SB and L charge still exists.

I think you are counting the paper losses rather than the cash flow
2m of that was their own accrued interest

He said previously that he’s willing to finance club infrastructure but the club has to be able to support itself in general running costs.

Agreed. All I’ve wanted/expected is someone to reinvest anything generated by player sales back into the running and development of the football club and not have to fire sell players at knock down prices. That’s a step up from sisu. If someone comes in who can deliver more than that, great, but they haven’t appeared so far.

I think alot of people are getting ahead of themselves, the stability of the stadium and an owner that turns up to games cheering for the team with a smile and who doesn't hide is a MASSIVE improvement on Sisu. Imagine having a start to the next championship season (assuming we don't go up) that isn't riddled with issues actually stopping us from playing football matches, let alone in Coventry..

I mean, it's the bare essentials and we didn't even have that at the start of this season. We're on a far better path than at the start of this season, regardless how it plays out, Doug has been brilliant for us.
