I don’t understand Chelsea. The squad isn’t actually that bad. It’s top heavy, yes, but not terrible. How can no one get a tune out of them?
Almost funny how, despite spending £100m's on attacking players, they look utterly toothless up front.

Can't help but feel it's an American owner not understanding how sport outside of America works.

31 defeats in 40 Prem games for Frank Lampard now

Fucking hell what a record. Serious reputational damage there...

He talks a good game so he should really consider a career in punditry rather than management

I think most managers would struggle at the Chelsea circus with a big squad of international footballers who will all want to play. A scattergun approach to buying players without filling the 1 position that was needed. Meanwhile Lukaku is out on loan although they probably couldn't recall him. Maybe Potter was the right man, the wrong man is whoever is in charge of buying players.

He needed time though. That's why I think he was a ill-fit. The likes of Chelsea and Spurs etc, want instant success and Potter is the type of manager who needs to time to instil his methods. He was at Brighton for 3 years.

It was a bad move for him.

To an extent its true but Chelsea had 10 points by the time Tuchel was dismissed. Take that start away and they are a relegation form team and have been since then

Yes definitely.

Hiring Potter was a sensible decision.

Sacking him after 20 league games was a ridiculous decision.

Even more ridiculous to then give the job back to Lampard, short term or not

Says a lot about that end of the table when Leeds have lost 6-1, 5-1 and 4-1 twice in the last month and their goal difference is still enough to keep them out of the relegation zone

I didn't realise all of the players he had a Derby. Tomori, Mount, Lawrence etc.

Guessing this made his managerial skills appear better than they were.

All of the bottom 5 teams in the PL deserve to get relegated.
Was just thinking Leeds and Leicester have been laughably bad yet somehow there are still 3 teams currently even worse.

tbf it was Mount's first season in this country (played a season before at Vitesse with Dabo!), and arguably Lampard has made him the player he's become.

"I might be 68 and look old, but there's nobody ahead of me in football terms…. not Pep, not Klopp, not Arteta. It's all there with me. I shared it with them, they did what they do, I do what I do. In terms of knowledge, and depth of knowledge, I'm up there. I'm not saying I'm better, but I'm certainly as good as they are"

Big Sam everybody!

I've just seen this which is mental:

Phil Foden's goal was the 1,000th scored under Pep Guardiola at City. The manager's side has accumulated that many goals in 404 games and so they are averaging 2.48 goals per game.

Enciso looks like he's going to be some player.

I love all these great technical players Brighton sign from all over the world.

Man Utd absolutely got absolutely ripped off for Antony

£100m for him ffs. Brighting signed Mitoma and Enciso for a tenth of that.
