IFollow question, Monday's game (7 Viewers)

Cheers all,
Monday's upcoming game got me to consider seeing about purchasing(?) hopefully a one-time match, but I've never used IFollow before. Yesterday the ccfc website listed it as unavailable but now looks to have an option for buy a video match pass.
I live in USA, not sure if that hurts or helps.

Is the quality, commentary (if any?) make this consideration worthwhile? I've been content for years just using BBC website match live score updates + refreshing (and lurking) match threads here just about every game.
Because I also choose to be optimistic, would playoff games be available via IFollow?

also, apparently I hadn't posted here since 2016 (a Southend match thread it seems). Anyhow, it's been brilliant remembering the old times of us in the top flight, not as much fun nosediving with Sisu, and the rise back up from 4th division with Robins. Consider this my reintroduction to skybluestalk

I've not had a reason to set up ifollow before, is it a drag? Any Download or anything like that?

It’s easy. If you’re outside the UK you don’t need a VPN.. works directly from the offal and has home comms. Cast from phone to the tv or just watch on a laptop.

I use it every week from Asia. No complaints. You get the CWR commentary with Clive Eakin and Oggy.

I do set it up 30 mins before though in case my computer updates or does something stupid.

Right, I have never used iFollow before. If you are in the UK, you need to use a VPN, is that right?

If so, any recommendation on which? Never used a VPN either before. Clueless

It was so much simpler a life when it was just, attach your horse to the cart and take the cart to market. 🤪

You won’t need a vpn for this game, as the games have been released for streaming on IFollow. It’s real easy for Monday. You only need a vpn for Saturday designated games, even if they are moved or postponed until later. Obviously, I have never used one…..

If you are watching via i follow switch off any score alerts you might have set up as there is a time lag in the pictures, I would stay off the match thread on here too. Unless of course you like knowing in advance when a goal is about to be scored!
When watching on ifollow, I often look at the match score on my phone when the opposition are attacking…it helps prep me for any disappointment.

or you might end up going mad, like some of the more enthusiastic posters on here, have a meltdown halfway through the game, only to backtrack at the end

As mentioned you don’t need a VPN for this game, but for future reference NordVPN is excellent

WRT the vpn, I’ve had it France before where if a game is available in the U.K. I’ve needed to set my VPN to UK rather than show that I’m abroad. It happened not long ago (this year). Bizarre but true.

@JohnWH - if for whatever reason you have an issue on the day DM me and I’ll try to help. Wouldn’t want any sky blues fan to miss out.

PUSB.

All set up, does anyone know if you can cast to a TV direct from a phone? If so is it stable?

No. Only ways I’ve got it on the TV is through a cable or ChromeCasting the tab from Chrome on my laptop.

Is there anything to see on iFollow yet? It’s our first time using it and we’ve tried three separate devices but can’t seem to get anything to work.

Just adverts and showing players warming up, no commentary yet.

The I follow worked great for me as a first timer. Smooth stream, no problems on my end, I just watched from the browser direct from tablet, didsetup to a larger TV. I'd recommend it to any other first timer.

Hope you had luck ladygodiva in getting yours to work?

Thank you, we finally got ours to work at half time but it was great from then onwards. The issue turned out to be the Kid Safe settings we have with our TalkTalk internet! It seems they were blocking the video feed, but as soon as we turned them off we were in business. We’ll definitely do it again for other games. We normally listen on CWR if we can’t go in person, so it was great still having the commentary with Oggy etc.

It could have been a horror show …

Does anyone know what the situation will be internationally for iFollow and the play off games?

It looks like UK streaming is not allowed for any playoff games, but the international situation is always confusing:
