Don’t want it to stop
Downer post. Our record away against the top teams is rubbish, great against the lower half teams. Probably can't count Milwall away, as that was due to special circumstances (Moore's poor form). We were outplayed at Sheff Utd and West Brom, played Sunderland before they had settled down. Blackburn we got lucky when Wilson wanged it into the net with his penis from 7 inches. Only the first half against Burnley was a good performance but we still lost. That said, it depends on how much Middlesborough are up for it. If they play some squad players, they may be trying like crazy to earn a place. I have everything crossed and hope our away form against the lesser teams can be brought into this game. This is a cup final, lets hope there are 3 more after this match.

Just reminded me of that Barnet fan on Twitter that blamed us for them going down

To be fair their keeper got motm though we did drop off a fair bit in the last third of the gameHe missed that effort from JCH in the first half which was brilliantly tipped over

Yeah - I agree, but I was getting really twitchy/agitated during that period towards the end of the game, knowing that one cock up in defence might have cost us the play off spot - particularly when I knew we were easily capable of beating them.Which was understandable given the context. Both teams needing a draw were not going to attack in the last half hour. I don’t believe the game was played with a pre determined result.
Didn’t Howson get injured in the warm up before their last game? Do we know how bad this is?I think Bidwell will play over Esbrand. Would Allen in for Godden be too negative? Allen for Eccles or Kelly too attacking?
I think Middlesbrough will have a go at us. Will probably leave out Giles and Howson and potentially Akpom but they’ll be strong and looking for a result.
A thing I’ve noticed from opposition fans is they always say city will come on to them which suits their style of play. We’ve been a counter attacking team since pretty much September so I’m unsure where they get this stuff from.
I don't think we should change the recipe at all. Just go in there and do what we do.

Im getting anxious now.
Out‘touch and go’ says Carrick
Sounds like an excuse to rest him without Scumderland kicking off about it. Spolier... they will anyway.‘touch and go’ says Carrick
If it’s ‘touch and go’ it’s gotta be, right?
They will also refer not play us in two leg match.
They will almost certainly leave that trio out I think, they're all carrying knocks I think. It would be mental to risk them on a what is essential a dead rubber for them.I think Bidwell will play over Esbrand. Would Allen in for Godden be too negative? Allen for Eccles or Kelly too attacking?

What about Howson, I don't want to know about Carricks sex life‘touch and go’ says Carrick
Still not nervous
Just to put some final games/playoff variables into context. All the talk about teams like Millwall and Sunderland winning tomorrow, it isn't always so straight forward like that.
Today in League 1: Morecambe lost, MK Dons drew, Cambridge United won. The latter climbed above the former two and stayed up as a result of the other two bottling it. Notts County currently 2-1 down to Boreham Wood in the National League playoff semi-final, despite finishing 35 points above them. Could easily see their season over if they don't pull it back in the next fifteen minutes or so.
Let's hope we don't screw it up, but literally anything can happen tomorrow, even if we do.
Derby lost to Wednesday who are in a similar position to Boro and missed out on the play offs as a result.
Yeah, I just edited my post a few seconds before you posted. Just shows nothing is a given.
I'll try and remind myself of that tomorrow if we go one down!
If you think it will be tense for us (which it will be) consider how tense it will be for the supporters who know they have to win to have a chance of the playoffs. 1-0 up won't make it much better. They will have that fear every time their opponents have the ball. If we go 1-0 up we would have to let 2 in and the other two sides still have to win. It's going to be a tense old day, unless we smash in in the first 20 minutes!
