Just thought off the back of this “oh I wonder what cool sponsor we could get instead of a crappy online betting site if we go up”

Checked the PL sponsors and 8 are betting companies and another 4 financial services.

I’d put my house on it to be King of Shaves as the next sponsor

Almost sure I know the answer, but is there a free kit designer where you don't have to work from a template?

I've looked at a few but they don't have the design I want as a template. I've done a mock-up in publisher and it looks a bit naff, but I reckon if it was done on a proper kit template they'd look pretty good.

Yeah ive just realised from looking at Otis' posts that there were loads previously. Seems like we didn't particularly have a set of colours until the Sky Blue era after JH and even then have still found ways to vary it. I like that about us, even if i would normally opt for a solid sky blue kit like the old Pony ones given the choice.
And even the original sky blue kit was an accident

I like how we can basically do whatever now as long as it's got sky blue in it. When you look at the 2 seconds it takes Nike to knock out the new Liverpool kit it's good we have a bit of effort going in

I reckon it’s not outside the realms of possibility that they would do a bit of a homage to the 97-98 kit and have the badge as a watermark background.
Also in that Hummel video the designer did nod again to the two tone kit - and in those Le coq sportif kits the checkerboard design did play a part, so we’ll see.
But yeah they will already be decided.
Hummel know that nostalgia and nods to the city’s history go down well with us…. Although I don’t think we’ll see a naked lady on the kit any time soon…..

I think all the best tools are paid. You can make some decent efforts on the supprisingly powerful Pesmaster tools for free though:

Love the looks of the sponsors there. CBS would be amazing just to have COVENTRY on the front of the shirt. And KoS logo on the sleeve is nice.

Thanks.

It looks decent, but it doesn't seem to do what I want it to and have tapering stripes (though I'm sure someone savvy would come back in 5 minutes showing exactly what I wanted!).

Anyway, apologies for the amatuerish-ness of these, but it shows what I mean in terms of creating 'spires'. Then you can just change the colours around to whatever you please (green/black, purple/yellow, red/green, red/blue, brown/white). I just thought it would be a bit different to the usual and have a nod towards the city.

They’re part of our heritage?

Maybe that wasn't the best term to have used but I just wish we would decide on plain or stripes and stick to it. Personally, I'd prefer if it wasn't stripes. I think it's important to have a clear identity.
Can you imagine if Newcastle abandoned their stripes or if Liverpool adopted them? Their fans would be outraged, quite rightly in my opinion, because it is such a big part of their identity.
I think it looks a bit cheap and nasty to keep swapping, a bit lower leaguey! 😁

 Loads of massive teams switch up stripes and plain designs. Barca, Bayern, Dortmund... Wigan 😀

Just say you dont like it, thats fine.

I like the varity it gives us. Imagine being a Liverpool fan dumping £75 on a kit that is pretty much identicle to every other one you own. not for me

I also noticed interestingly the below on the club shop this morning, but they may have been available on there for a while now

Why oh why are our fans obsessed with re-hashing previous years kits? I still find it mad that we've rehashed the 1995/1996 hideous purple/violet and gold effort which we wore like four times and never ever won in! an we not come up with some original designs?

Oh and the two tone thing has run it's course too.

I'm sorry but I can't take seriously any post starting with 'Why oh why'.
It reminds me of the letters page in Viz.

Okay, not fully stripes, but what the hell are these three Liverpool kits?
