What a cracking squad of players you've assembled. Robins, you need a complete new squad of players, apart from the lad from forest, they've a crock of shit. God help us.

You have to blame all 3. Mainly though you would think Waggott and Thorn.

They are shockingly lacking in spirit, bottle, pace and fight so far.

Well if Henderson is a Robins signing, you can add him to list of shame!

Henderson was clearly unfit. Very clearly. Surely you could see that? He was a yard off the pace.

So a lack of fitness is a good enough excuse for Henderson but not for Barton?

You don't need to have fitness to have quality on the ball or basic awareness of what to do in a match situation.

I could tear this to pieces by taking your comment literally but I've got a strain in my right hand.

That's true, he was poor in his first game as sub. Hopefully Henderson will transform himself. Although I'm more worried that he's had a very bad injury for a young player (like O'Halloran, who was massively rated before his) and may be finished as a player despite great potential initially.

Didn't Barton have a very bad injury as well?

Torn cruciate ligaments I think.

Still got them from what I've seen so far. Had a serious back injury as well. Probably from picking up his wages every week.

How anyone can criticise a player on his debut after one day at the club and then claim Barton is better is beyond me. One of the poorest of the new signings and there are several candidates.

Nobody bar McGoldrick has really covered themselves in glory so far to be fair, Duffy. Until January at the earliest Robins has to try and get this group of players into a cohesive, hard to beat outfit-reversing 18 months of soft discipline and tactical ineptitude in the process.

Correct BSB this is a huge ask. Reversing almost 2 years of bungling ineptitude is not going to be easy. If robins achieved even mid table with this squad and it's losing attitude he deserves a medal.

Your argument would have more substance if you at least had the grace to state 5 years of ineptitude. Or more

Very quickly this season is turning into a rescue mission which I found incomprehensible on the first day. From the early interviews Robins sounds as though he has clear ideas in mind which he'll be putting into practice over the next few weeks-a far more convincing manager than his predecessor, at any rate.

It is a good enough excuse for everyone, but as I have said on here at least a dozen times, Preston fans said Barton drifted out of games, lacked heart and didn't track back when he was fit!

It's therefore a moot point. Barton is showing exactly the same traits as he did when he was fit at Preston.

Don't think the fitness is an issue here. It appears to be in his make-up as a player.

Under thorn this bunch of wasters won 1 drew 3 lost none. Including a draw with the favourites.

Hard to blame him when we have no idea how they would have done under him.

He bought the wasters and created the waster culture.

He got a draw against the only team worse than us and that rightly cost him his job.

I am more annoyed than ever that he was allowed to do what he has done to this club.

Why do we always sign unfit players?

not a clue pal,

we signed Moussa, and he isnt ready !!

most clubs would let him train until he was ready before signing

by my count we have (not including the new boys)

Jennings
Barton
McDonald
Thomas
Clarke
Wood
Fleck
Cameron
Bell

all not fit

Just a gut feeling but i have my doubts on Steve Waggott being here much longer just about all he said regarding the new manager what he can and can't do has not happened. I believe the refusal to give Martin Cranie a new contract was his, don't tell me playing for Barnsley with due respect was that much better than us despite us being relegated. and most of the 9 new players where his too, his interference i believe has cast a shadow over the players causing almost open resentment. Footballers hate outsiders getting involved in the inner sanctom of football.

All three are at fault !!!!
But the players brought in were what was available at the time within the budget set !!!
Now it might be said that we have one of the largest budgets in the league but we don't have any proof of that only owners say so !!!
The players brought in were freebies !!!
I ask why were they on free's obviously in some case unwanted by existing club!!!
So if you put a lot of unwanted players together what are you most likely to get ?
