Some great moments indeed, Hamer has been a joy to watch for 75% of the season once he sorted his disciplinary out.

His goal away at boro in the semi final is now probabaly ranked My favourite ever city goal, over Johnny Jackson’s at home to the Albion all those years ago.

Fadz has been immense for the most part aswell. The first half at Swansea at home is up there with the best first half’s of football we’ve ever seen.

Sheaf has grown into one hell of a player and Eccles has also emerged into a decent champ player and will get better next year.

But it means fuck all if you get to the final and let that clown blaze one over the bar, we may aswell of finished 4th from bottom. We’re still in the same league playing the same fucking teams we’ve played for the last 3 years

I don't think football is for you to be honest. Certainly not following CCFC.

Some absolute clown views coming out.

I don’t mind one bit, I know I am, and honestly I don’t care

I’ve never felt like this after a game of football, I usually see the positives in a game even if we get beat , but there is nothing from yesterday. We’re back to square one in the league. This was our chance , dabo fucked it up for us
And there you are, it’s a game of football. Find a parent who has lost a child, tell them you’re hurting.

Unbelievable! Someone had to lose and we lost. Its not like we've been in the league 20 years, it's been 3 years of year on year improvement! I'm absolutely devastated today but this post is just ridiculous, go and support man City

He's a really decent poster. I dont agree with his output over the last few hours but hes obviously really upset.

has he started drinking again? Brighton was similar to be honest - some people can’t cope with disappointment - they should take a visit to a child’s cancer ward and get perspective

I will simply NEVER forgive him for what he’s cost us as a club and a fan base.

Don’t be ridiculous. He didn’t do it on purpose
The whole premise of penalties is that someone makes a mistake

My deepest uncharacteristic part of all this was nearly leaving after thinking Panzo had unforgivably, inexcusably thrown it away. I was stinking angry with him.

Wasn’t even aware it was being checked, had my head down walking up the stairs and suddenly heard the cheer. People want him on a perm. Ha.

I wouldn’t have Panzo back to be honest.

Potentially decent player, but goes missing once too often at the big moments

I instantly took back every bad thing I'd ever said about VAR in that moment

It get it hurt, I had to hold back the tears but he is going far too far with the hatred

Fanky was in bits, if there's anyone who hates Dabo right now it's probably Dabo himself.
My son 31. had a heart rate monitor and tracked the game. 94bpm minimum, 183 Haymer goal, VAR, then penalties 190+. Horrible experience for all of us. I had no real conviction that we would win on penalties.

But we dust ourselves down and go again. The dream goes on.

The notion no professional player should miss a penalty is nonsense, otherwise the the first ever penalty shoot out would still be going on now.

Yes, they really should hit the target but none of us have a fucking inkling what the pressure is like taking a penalty in the most lucrative game in world football, especially when you don't usually tale penalties.

Someone had to miss, it was Dabo, he didn't do I intentionally and he'll carry that with him forever.

He'll be hurting more than any of us are.

For what it's worth, I think we'd should be looking to move him on, but it's got nothing to do with yesterday
I think the main sore point is that we probably (I think definitely) had players we believed more suitable / capable to step up next. If Dabo was pen 8/9 and missed then I think things would be easier to come to terms with.

If it was Bidwell 6, Fadz 7, Wilson 8 or whatever then it comes down to your less “confident” players. Dabo and Panzo are players who haven’t looked confident of late, whereas Bidwell and Fadz are (in my mind) steady older pros. In the meantime, Luton could just have easily missed pen 7 and it’s game on.

It was a strange decision out there, most of the SBA probably half knew / feared that Dabo wasn’t the best choice at 6.

It’s going to be hard for me to get to grips with “why Dabo?”

I feel awful for the bloke. It’ll haunt him. I think he might end up back in Holland for a bit (just a hunch) to get away from things.

Once it goes to penalties some poor bugger on either team will miss. Dabo may need a break. I have a feeling he’ll come back stronger in his whole game.

@Blind-Faith

Are you angry at Wilson for not saving any of there pens? After all that was his job?
Are you angry at Godden for blazing his shot over the bar in the second half? He's a forward, he's supposed to score goals after all?
Are you angry at Robins for not insisting that someone else take one? He could have done that!
Are you angry at Fadz, Panzo, Bidwell for not stepping up first? They all could have said they wanted to be 6th!
I mean if Dabo had stepped up and turned and fired it back to the half way line I could understand your anger towards him as that would have been a deliberate act, but he didn't did he, it was a mistake, you hate someone who's given this club a lot of good service and good memories for a mistake???? Think you need a sense of perspective.

there’s isn’t a single footballer in the world that wouldn’t feel pressure taking any penalty, but to do it in front of 36,000 fans Making that noise and with what was on the line, that takes bollocks, and honestly I had the same feeling when dabbo walked up as I did when the first 5 walked up, if he takes that at our end guarantee he at least hits the target, some players can handle it some can’t, can’t blame anyone

You will get over it, we all will, including Dabo hopefully, who is probably hurting more than all of us. I deal with the disappointment by not posting for a while.
