Ok, SISU Joy & Tim no longer have any involvement with Coventry City FC 🤔 so give me a feasible scenario that would see them watching us at Wembley yesterday.
Like the rest of us, if you watch a team for long enough you get the bug and you can't shake it. As much as I dislike SISU, suspect they are fans

King invited them because he has said he has had little input in getting the team to Wembley

Seems fair enough
Well if he’s had little input into getting the team to Wembley, I would say that they have had considerably less.

he also sacked Sillett and couldn’t be bothered to tell him first
Yes he did and replaced him with Terry Butcher.
Paid good money for Butcher if I remember right.
Not a great decision that in hindsight.
Still, he has got to be one of the better chairmen we have had surely.

You'd think a championship footballer would wear better undies than next own brand

Still i guess that is high fashion in Luton

Why would they support a club where 95% of the fan base consider them more repulsive than dog sh1t that’s turned white?

he squandered the momentum of winning the cup - like McGinnity he was seduced by the star name of butcher - it was a farcical decision

Duggins & Maton apparently sponged a couple of free tickets in the corporate area

I know i will get a hammering for this but i won't reply so who cares.

Before i start i am NOT saying Joy/SISU were good owners but it could have been worse.

When she moved us to Northampton the rent was 1mill a year for 23 home games, we were allowed in (officialy)
for 2 hours before and after a game with no food and beverage, no car parking etc income... was this sustainable NO, so was she so wrong in doing this?

The second time to Brum, Wasps then took the piss so she would not agree and off we went again, we came back to a much better deal that meant the club could survive long term.

Apart from Hyam (who only had to be sold after she said admitted the SISU Cov fund was broke, to replace grass due to Wasps fooking us over) when was the last time they forced the sale of a player? (they only done that after admitting they were broke, so what choice did they have and soon sold to Doug King).

Yes, they had the choice to buy the arena, they tried to get it on the cheap, tell me who would pay more if they thought they could get something cheaper? (read ahead)

(this was the only MAIN mistake, they should have just paid Higgs and brought it up (did they have the money, probably not. We have since found out they are not as big as they thought they were, ie selling to Doug Kings hedge fund as they are bigger and can just absorb them).

When we were about to go bust where was Doug King then? as much as i don't like SISU we would have gone bust and in to liquidation.

The problem was the council brought in London Wasps and sold it to them and called us the City of Rugby whilst ignoring Coventry Rugby Club) (we now know that it led to them not only going bust but struggling to start next season at the lowest level of Rugby (so buying it done them well and all the suppliers and investors).

SISU fucked it up loads at the start, once Joy realised what was going on she took a more head on role, this is when things started to improve.

Like i said until Hyam, before this date (once she took control), she never sold 1 player under Robins nose. He has thanked her many times and said she did everything she can and was a good owner.

After the 2 Wembley games i do think she fell in love with the club but it was a bit too late and most of the damage was already done.

Could she have done things differently, YES 100% and i (and i bet she) wishes she had.

I just think that once she knew what was going on it was to late, Ray RasoM had wasted all the money, i don't know why he does not get more blame.

Anyway the reason for this post is her getting abused for going to the play-off Final, she/her company has lost millions investing on us (most will say great and she deserves it, that is their opinion, she has now sold up and yet STILL gave £2,000 to the season ticket fund (why would she if she never had a feeling for us)? Yet the new owner puts nothing in and nothing is said, not like he don't know about it, his brother put £100 in.

The fact they felt they could walk through hundreds of fans without a care suggests they feel the same

Did anyone else pick up in that pre-Wembley interview with Robins that he had the chance to return a few months before he did in our relegation year? I assumed that JS approached him prior to appointing Slade.
I caught the interview but not sure exactly what was said.
I have to say i thought i was going to get slammed for that post, mind you early days yet lmfao

Interesting, but you haven’t mentioned toxic Tim once.

Regarding player sales the club essentially survived for many years from the structure of Wilson and Maddison money. The Maddison sale I believe was necessary to stop significant cash flow issues and transfer embargo’s

In the lower leagues it allowed us to make reasonable purchases and contracts so it was competitive enough

They couldn’t cope with championship salaries and were having to constantly bridge funding gaps. Net of sales I don’t actually think they’ve put any money in since 2012

The strategy to break the lease was clever enough but it failed. For someone who clearly has made money she just seems to be incapable of acknowledging defeat and was then hell bent on revenge regardless of consequences for the club. She was incapable of diplomacy and you can’t make enemies everywhere.

There’s no evidence she loved the club. She was never really the owner - the investors would really dictate strategy

Are they still involved? Who knows. No one knows the construct of the sale
