What will happen next summer to make us promotion contenders next season?

We will have even less money for players and the league will probably be tougher next year.

The manager will have his own side and will have managed to transform the culture of the club. Hopefully!

Another clearout of the deadwood - we have a lot of players on chanpionship level wages who are hardly proving to be league one standard players.

Charlton got promoted at their 3rd attempt and even last season they signed 21 players on permanent contracts and 5 loanees.

Because we'll have shipped out the odd purchases made by the previous regime and build a squad who can compete?

I[dsdswxazq
QUOTE=Otis;277155]I agree.

Don't think they will though.

We even now still have fans talking about promotion and play-offs. Let's just get safe and consolidate first. Could be next season before we are challenging.[/QUOTE]

We won't exist next season if we don't go up. Relegation will follow and then it'll be all over.

So you are quite happy to pay out a not inconsiderable amount of money to watch a complete pile of garbage for at least one maybe 2 or more seasons with absolutely no prospects of even a challenge for promotion are you?

This is supposed to be an entertainment - a past time. Would you go to a gourmet restaurant, and be charged £100 for beans on toast, under the excuse we need to build up funds before we serve you quality meals?

Of course not - you would walk out.

You pay money, it is not unreasonable to expect to be entertained.

If they said they are re-building fine, but you cannot then charge full price for a second grade performance can you!

If you want crowds to drop down to the absolute core of 5400 season tickets and whatever away support - fine, just accept bilge.

Unfortunately, that in itself would ensure cov goes bust!

the ONLY way cov can move forward is to be able to attract split supporters. Supporters who are in half a mind whether to go or not.

The way to attract them is to have a good run. To do that you need good players. "consolidating" in league one is the most moronic thing I have ever heard.

Sisu tried that last season - how did that go?

No accepting bullshit and poor performances. We pay our money we are entitled to being served entertaining football.

Real fans will sustain the club in Blue square, discerning fans are needed to make the club great again!

Like it or not the club cannot survive on "true" fans alone!

If Robins can instil some confidence we will win more than we will lose this season. Having been to over 1/2 the games this season we should probably of won all of the games. I am yet to see us outplayed at any of the games i have been too. A top 1/2 finish isn't being unrealistic. Anything less will be underachievement.

agreed

first 3 games we could easily have had 9 points

crewe we deserved nothing, and ascunthorpe but tranmere we deserved at least a draw

and then saturday, once again we ddint play well but we fit the post 2 fookin times, could have been another 3pts easily

we have 3 pts, could have 13 imo...once we get that first win, robins instills a better mental strength i expect us to win 2 our every 3 games imo which should give us a chance of playoffs
