In club shop this morning for other stuff. Spoke to TO staff: nice and chatty but no help on ST topic. Just said they expect it to be announced 'shortly'.

I am there’s just no logical reason for not selling them

Yeah, not sure why people think there is any panic.

There is some concern though given that it makes little sense for them not to be on sale. Pricing announced weeks ago. It is surely just a key press or two to get them on sale and the longer the buying window the better for everyone.

It is a little odd and perfectly reasonable that people are asking questions. Also, some believe this is harming sales, others don't, but it certainly isn't helping.

Pete you need to ask the Club why the delay. Fans have a right to know.
Although it clearly explains the delay in the article I am at a loss to understand why fans have a right to know.
We have a right to purchase a season ticket or not to but surely operational issues are at the clubs discretion?

Now the ST delay is on the verge of being sorted I wonder what the next SBT hissy fit will be about?
which blocks are onsale, match day ticket prices, where the away fans sit, parking, next seasons kit having stripes, next seasons kit not having stripes - take your pick

And the guy from Bedworth who always asks Clive a) if you can pay on the gate; and b) how much tickets are. Personally, waiting for the fixtures to come out so I can plan a summer holiday in Cov although did this last year for the first three matches and ended up seeing none as had tickets for the WEURO final with the family and the Sunderland match got moved to the same day.

Why are they always so secretive about these things? To the point that they have to be prompted to make a statement?

If you have ever applied for a Merchant I.D number you will know it’s one of the most painful and slow processes going. There is always an extra piece of info they need and just when you think it’s all good… they tell you it’s going for final approval. I’m very sympathetic to the club on this one!!

So if that statement is right why did they sell the Prem tickets deal surely thst money wull be held by TM?

I would assume it will be transferred back to the new merchant

I couldn’t really understand how it would work anyway. If we were promoted the money was returned to the customer. I assume the club would have just funded that

It’s slightly odd that this has t been sorted anyway - you’d hope they had been working on sourcing since February

Do you think that the so called premiership package was created under a different contract that pays all the moneys up front to access £2.5 million to keep the club ticking over ? whilst they sorted out the change over to a new merchant

Yeah I’ve been involved on the tech side of a merchant switch and it’s not fun or straight forwards.

I wonder if the fact the Prem Package is technically more than a ST meant they could sell it differently? T&Cs mean it’s not tied to games or something.

I hope they release match ticket prices at the same time as ST prices to help people make an informed choice ?!

Fuck that, I’m serious. £33 was too much. £30 should be top whack
This is my guess of course. It makes the £400 season ticket look good value. I think there may be more cat A games this year. I really hope they hold the matchday charges. I suspect we’ll have someone from the marketing team pretending to be concerned supporter wanting to give their thoughts on how good value it is…

I think they tried this ploy with the raising concession age from 60 to 65. Either that or it was a miraculous co-incidence…The skeptic in me says otherwise.
