Yates, Godden and the Vik replacement is an imposing three.
Obvious massive caveat being who the Vik replacement is.

That's the ccfc way, which is just one reason why Yates won't be on our radar.
We spent 1 million on Vik and if he goes it will be for 20m+

Blackpool will be dribbling out statements to stoke up the buzz. They may want 3m+ but doesn't mean they'll necessarily get that.
For me Yates did well in a shite team, impossible to tell but he may well kick on another level in a better team. He isn't close to a Vik type tho so we would need to change the way we play to make the most of him. We would need to add to our creative midfield players if Palmer and O'Hare are not fit

Career stats say otherwise. Last season Godden was a 1 in 2 striker at the same level. This season, 1 in 3, and that's bring asked to sacrifice his game for the team. Godden's issue is fitness, and even then to say Yates is 'miles better' is total b*ll*ks.

We should be looking at players like Yates but, at a reasonable price. Blackpool are living in wonga wonga land with the price they are quoting. He is 1.5 million at a push and that is looking on the favourable side. Sure he could sign for Stoke and score 20 goals and be worth a mint but I would not gamble on him above the quoted price
