Very much agree, regardless of what was /wasn't said.the fa are acting as though they are above the law here.

No it shouldn't - they are two different charges - the criminal case cleared him of 'racially aggravated' abuse, I.e. that they did not feel that the abuse was racially motivated. Whereas the FA are charging him of using racially abusive language. I.e. it doesn't matter whether it was racially motivated, it's just the fact he used that abusive language. He admitted using the language in court but denied it it was racially motivated.*

The FA and FIFA have always acted like that. They think their untouchable. Some of the things the FIFA president has come out with against England would get you sacked in any other line of work. Corrupt, money grabbing snobs. That's all they are.

So if I use a phrase like " did you think I called you a nig**r" should I be charged..no ..he was cleared because he said the word but not in a racially motivated way..that my friend is as far as it should go

To the FA it isn't the context the words were used in, the FA set the stance last season with Suarez last season that any language which could be taken as racially offensive is unacceptable on a football pitch regardless of how it was meant or intended
Just been having this conversation at work...who is going to replace him? Cahill is good but hes not quick enough. Lescott is hardly Usain Bolt! Jagielka?
Although that said, i dont think this issue has come to light because of Terrys decision, we were going to have this problem in 2 years anyway.
And as for Terry, i dont blame him. He had a good Euro campain, not going to be anywhere near his best in Rio so may aswel bow out now and let someone else stake their claim. Now all we need is Ferdinand to do the same!

Terrible human being, great footballer. Probably past his best now, despite only being 31 and the correct decision imo, although I wish that it had been for football reasons as opposed to what is currently going on, which unfairly imo tarnishes his reputation as a player and does the FA no favours either.

i dont like the guy but i totally agree with what he is doing, this has turned out to be a witch hunt on the guy and he cannot keep playing for england whilst they are out to get him. the worry is who is good enough at the back now? i dont think we have much qualty there and the Ukraine game highlighted that big style!

I dont see Terry as having more pace than Cahill. He always (ok not always, but too much for my liking)seems to makes last ditch tackles which to me means the little pace he had is now gone and his reading of the game isn't all that.(last season against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, slipped over and wouldnt have caught Van Persie in a month of sundays), also i think it was against Spurs, 0-0 near the end of the season, Cahill came from knowhere to block a shot.
Just from memory them two instances and happy to be proved wrong, just think Cahill is a pretty good centre half and a decent replacement for Terry, both for Chelsea and England

I assumed he's retired from internationals so he can spend more time with the other players wives.
Im not sure you can look at this as an isolated incident (from the FAs perspective) but the straw that broke the camels back. Look at his history; the Bridge incident, his mutiny at the World Cup, shady goings on at the Chelsea training ground, regularly cheating on his missus etc etc, some of which are nothing to do with what happens on the pitch but he was captain of our country during a lot of this. There comes a time when enoughs enough. If this was a one off maybe theyd have given him the benefit of the doubt.
I think if a new central defence partnership is given time to gel he shouldnt be greatly missed and I know it goes against Hodgsons view but Im all for bringing in younger players who'll be peaking in two years time rather than players who may be on the slide.

It is not the same offence though is it. Also read the judges view on Terry's "evidence" in that verdict. If the F A believed the judges ultimate summing up they would have no choice but to find John Terry guilty.

I just can't stand John Terry! Whether or not he's a racist twat or not! He is a slimeball thug, who thinks he's God's gift to football. If he were ever to play for us (ha!), I would NEVER show my support for the city. In over 50 years of following football - a sport that I love - I have never known such an obnoxious human being! I ferkin' HATE him with a passion! Just the sight of his ugly mug on screen makes my blood boil!
