Who are we HAPPY with? (4 Viewers)

Obviously we are all slumped in this low point - OK it's bad obviously, but instead of moaning about how crap everyone is let's start over and focus on the positives for a change.

So who have we got that we ARE happy with? Players/Back-room/Management/Owners - whoever

I'll start with Robins - I for one am very pleased he's here and I do genuinely think he will turn it around

Robin Van Persie, won me £220 yesterday ! Or are we talking just about City ?

Robins, really pleased with the appointment. Not overly unhappy with anyone, think we're about to turn a corner and I'm supporting every one of them.

I'm only unhappy with:

McSheff, after a lot of people bigging him up (I didn't rate him after his Brum injury) he has been waste of space, not put in even half a shift, hope Robins ditches him!

Brown, been mistake prone, at fault for at least 3-4 goals

Ball, been a waste of space, like Platt

Kilbane, looked a class above v Brum, been sh!te ever since!

Hussey, got ability but has a poor attitude and weak mentally

Happy with the appointment and 100% trust in him to weed out who he does and doesn't want over the coming weeks. He may see a role for someone that we have yet to see consistently (eg Barnsley successfully deploying Cranie in midfield).
New manager, fresh ideas. If he can get them organised and playing for eachother, then despite our lowly position I don't believe we're that far away.

Therefore I think we should reserve judgement and give all players our full backing until we know otherwise. A fresh start for them and I think it should be a fresh start for/from us too and give them all a fair chance without all the personal feelings that many of our squad are afflicted with.

Poor old Daniels - yet another youth product who we are seemingly willing to consign to the scrap heap after a few games. Look what happened to Turner, give the lad a chance.

For me, Wood is a liability that we just cant afford any more. Also, Sheff is awful but I so so want him to be a CCFC player who we enjoy watching again.....

The grounds man.

Makes the pitch look good (although sometimes I wish it wasn't and we had an excuse for postponement :))

Take baker wood and Brown out of that. They have been putting maximum effort in

(that's the B's out of the way)

McShuffty

Thinking about it, I reckon if we never buy anyone whose name begins with B in future it will be a step in the right direction!

Does this not just sum up City fans? The OP asked what we are HAPPY with and half the responses still insist on talking about who they are unhappy with :facepalm::facepalm:

Only because we are all having to think too hard as to who we are happy with.

Much easier to roll off a list of all the players who are doing our heads in!

Baker and effort don't go in the same sentence. Yes the effort from brown is there, just don't see the quality and I am amazed united haven't released him yet. Same with Wood on effort, but he has been a liability this season

Way i see it is everyone is on a fresh start. If they work hard and get on board with Robbins then im Happy with them if they do not improve and begin to put in the effort that i deem is a minimum requirment as a fan then im unhappy and Robbins will get rid.

Based on Saturdays game, the only game I have seen this year!

I was happy with.. Reckord & McGoldrick... Baker put in a lot of work and despite the negative comments I have seen abut him I thought McDonald was getting into good positions, he will score if played regularly.

The new manager is not messing about & so far I've been more impressed with him than I expected to be.

I saw nothing else that I was happy with ..

PS.. Fleck was short of match practice but put a couple of good balls in..

I'm happy with what Robbins has said thus far, hope we see him acting on that soon and a few people who aren't fighting for the cause shipped out by whatever means. Need to stop the rot and I think/hope Robbins can.

I disagree with alot of this debate because for1 and half seasons we have not had a proper manager it's either been a caretaker or a scount.on Saturday I think it's the first time in months I seen subs done at the right time and also the right sub too.I know the last 18months have been bleak but I do now see a glimmer of hope.

I agree we have some hope - that's what I want to focus on

Who do we have confidence in?

Who is doing their job (whatever that be) well?

I'm just looking for consensus on the positives for a change - it's not all bad

I'm happy with Gregor Rioch & his production line of youngsters.

I'm happy with Baker as he's the one who stood out Saturday as responding to the new manager.

I'm happy that the manager hasn't written any players off after one training session...well, two out of three isn't bad!

disagree..one thing (sometimes the only thing) baker has going for him is effort.. i think even with the signings we've made he should still b in or around the first team... on saturday how he wasnt booked in the first half hour for repeatedly tracking back and taking his man down from behind or slightly from the side is behond me! lucky for him though as he was booked early in the second half!

also wood is playing worse than ive ever seen him he was at fault for their free header which was the winner... and that is the latest of soo many mistakes...

One game in 40 doesn't count, the lad is nearly 30 and has done nothing with his career despite promising so much he hardly ever delivers for the team and the majority of the time doesn't even look interested

good:
christie,
edge,
reckord(from what i saw on sat),
jennings,
henderson(didn't perform particularly well sat but can see him being good asset),
moussa(can see him being good)
fleck
mcdonald(needs more playing time!)
mcgoldrick(quality!)

okay...
barton(with bit more grit between teeth and kick up backside by robins has potential to be class player)
malaga(bit slow but very brave)
Brown(glimpses of playing poor but since moving to centre back has done job reasonably well)
wood(good player, great in air but very clumsy and poor distributor)
dunn(not seen enough of him to judge)
clarke(decent in bits, but dislike his attitude and defensively weak)
elliot(works hard but not a striker)
baker(done well in some matches but so inconsistent! and poor end product)

bad:
ball(slow, fat, poor)
hussey(poor attitude although fans have been terrible to him)
murphy(not fit to be a keeper)
kilbane(although can see him improving)
bell
mcsheffrey(inexcusable. cov lad, attitude is pathetic)

i'm hugely concerned about the overall attitude of the entire squad,
i am of the opinion that this is because of the myopic & dysfunctional way in which we are being manipulated,
primarily by messrs fisher & waggott, (as 'joy' is now hands on),
their attitude is evasive, dismissive, and blinkered,
given a blind poll by the players i wonder how they would rate,
let's have another forum where they have to answer questions,
instead of the predictable avoidance they showed at the last,

OK so far we have a bit of consensus on a few - hard to decipher as you are a moaning old lot

Happiness so far for:

Robins
Taylor
Carsley
Rioch
McGoldrick
Reckord
Jennings
Fleck
Christie
The groundsmen
SkyBlue Sam

Any more?
