Ill be amazed if Gus is on our team sheet for the 1 st game of the season. Sadly think wembley was his last game, from what i heard the club are not pushing it for him to stay. I hope its not true as he is the only one id be pushing to stay

Don't you live abroad?

I am in the middle of moving back home. Why is that important in what i posted. Normally i get a reply and understand what you post but don't always agree with it and i know that's mutual, but that reply is so weird...Are you ok or do i offend you in the fact that im living...😉

Hopefully not but I agree, think the money would be there if we really wanted to.

lot to deal with in one transfer window, hopefully they can come to a compromise

He would be a big loss and i would hope the club would do all in its power to build around him. Lets see i will be over the moon if he stays.

just spoke to one of the scouts. Vik almost certainly going. doesn’t sound likely any of the loans will be returning and regarding Hamer he was made aware that the club are preparing for worse case scenario.

going by that. The club are certainly taking a stance on wage structure. I would guess Mcnally would be above our wage constraints as is a new contract for Gus.

Whats the discrepancy between what we are offering and what he wants? Few grand a week?

not sure. obviously told the other week what gus wants. club probably not wanting to raise the bar wages wise. unsure what the exact amount the club is prepared to offer but I would guess 15-17k?

Gus wants to stay. I personally feel it’s a case of gus staying and running down his contract and hoping we have another miracle season. However that could depend on the club.
No way the club will keep him and let him go for free, he’ll be gone

bottom six finish in my opinion unless we get recruitment spot on

As stated, the reluctance to offer what really isn't exactly a sizeable wage for the Championship likely proves my theory that the budget isn't going to increase by much this season. DK clearly wants to build a sustainable model whereby the overheads are more or less covered by ticketing/sponsorship/hospitality income along with player sales.

To accomplish that strategy, fundamentally the club are going to have to be strict on their wage structure. Hopefully the club shift their stance as replacing Hamer would be near on impossible, but DK's comments on how he wants to run the club makes me less than confident a deal will be struck.

All fits with what Robins was saying about being on a limited budget, of the same order of magnitude as last season's. It can't come as a surprise to anyone

my personal opinion. the loggerheads at the top might be impacting down the line.

I feel king stance is one of stubbornness. (Good and bad depends on the viewpoint) be interesting who gets involved in talks. currently it’s the club and Gus agent dealing with talks. could potentially see more parties involved I.e robins. Next week will be huge for the season ahead and I believe will show the intent of the season ahead

completely different scenario to Vik. I.e Gus loves this club and the celeb status around cov and Warwickshire but same time looks at his age and knows he’ll easily get 20k + elsewhere. do I think the club will budge, probably depends on robins.

Hopefully he gets involved as much as he can

that’s what’s most annoying, the fact he would easily get 30 a week elsewhere and we’re not getting it done
