How on earth do they manage to play in a stadium with 20,000 watching them each week then?

Think this line of reasoning is pathetic.
Because they're not learning the positioning and tactics during a game. That's what they do in training and pre-season camps so that it's almost second nature by the time they get to games with crowds.

to give some laughing a bit of perspective.
Many of the u21’s currently with the first team. the young lads are preparing for a friendly with leamington this Saturday so are not going Portugal.

that leaves 14-16 players for Portugal. club currently discussing whether the tour is feasible.

Hasn’t Robins previously highlighted the importance of these tours? I can’t imagine he’s all that happy with the lack of incoming players.

Don’t see this being cancelled. It’s all paid for.
Flights, accommodation, using the sporting facilities etc.

players still flying over but no match scheduled now. using it purely for a training camp.

Presumably no incomings whilst they are over there then

would guess any already complete or close to completion will still be confirmed. My concern is lack of match practice. with no game now until the 15th. Only gives us 3 weeks before Leicester for the players to gain match fitness. other teams started theirs already

Are they not doing a game against Leam or something this weekend like they usually do? They seem to kick off against a local non league side around this time of year

then again with Leam relegated to the league below the conference north is there much point sending a side there to play them

Leam game is just U21s. 1st team will have already flown to Portugal by then.

leam this Saturday for the youth players. first team won’t have played a game until the 15th. That’s 3 weeks before the season starts. a lot of teams have started to get minutes on the pitch already
