Whos started worrying?

The players are off tomorrow, so this leaves Friday for a kit reveal / players to be signed before being back in 17th July

People were saying 'its not even July yet'

Just wondering how many of those who weren't worried, will be come Friday with no movement on incomings

Must admit I’m getting rather worried! Just looks like everything is reliant on Viktor moving. Also, the training footage with boarded up windows isn’t great!

I’m not concerned about us recruiting well

What is concerning is that it’s almost like we’re having to wait till vik goes.

You pull out a post like this every season and it always proves to be unnecessary bedwetting.

The kit reveal is neither here nor there as far as preparing the squad for the new season goes, a missed commercial opportunity, yes, but irrelevant as far as preparing for the season goes.

And I won't be worried if there's no one incoming by Friday. We overcame far worse adversity last season than we're facing now.

Really depends on the situation, if the funds are there and available and we are not getting any movement due to waiting for the right targets/players that is fine.

If the lack of movement is due to other issues behind the scene and/or no budget available that is a problem.

I am expecting a big summer to justify King raising prices across all aspects, despite this we have had record ticket sales as well as a record fee incoming for Gyokeres.

Without knowing the reason for lack of incoming players it is hard to pass judgement

If the Swansea RWB and Barnsley :CB are true then it shows we are trying to move on the players we think are right for the club

I would much rather a selective approach to this window as we have an opportunity to sign some real talent.
Judging by rumoured players it seems we are looking at proven players or those with potential in their early 20s.
Could be the start of an exciting season if we can rebuild properly with a long term plan

On one hand, by this time next month we could see Vik sold, Hamer's new contract signed, Yates, Simms, Van Ewijk, etc. all joining and we batter Leicester 5-0 then wonder what all the fuss was about, and on the other hand, we could see hardly anyone come in, all the Vik money gobbled up and another threadbare squad going into the first few games of the season getting smashed week in week out.

Real test for Doug here. I'll be very concerned if we're still in this position next week.

The window is more going to be incompetence than anything financial

Not worried as such. Will be more concerned if still the same next week.

Have to say my feelings regarding Doug’s intentions have changed somewhat over the last few weeks. I’m now wondering if this is more of a tidying up exercise in preparation of selling on, rather than an investment for the future.

I think it's just a case of there being two lists from the recruitment team

A List (Vik leaves)
- Better perms
- Better loans

B list (Vik stays or it rumbles on too long)
- Slightly less good perms
- Slightly less good loans

We're simply waiting for what scenario we land in and I'm sure there's a deadline discussed internally for when they move from A to B. So for this reason I'm not worried.

Not really panicking - then again I’m actually enjoying my detox from football this summer so I’m not really invested in it that much, what happens happens
