Our season finished 3 weeks after the majority of other teams.

and? Players are back now but have to wait over another week for match time. must be the only team to fly out to a different country and not have a game planned.
I think matches abroad have been cancelled on numerous occasions I'm not too worried to be honest. Get the lads out there team building and get some training in to their legs. Increase the number of games by one when we get back and most of the players we are going to sign have landed.

I went to Alicante one year and the first match that was meant to happen didnt. It isnt regular but it does happen

Yeah i'm sure it's happened quite alot tbh
I CBA to look it up but I remember a few times games being cancelled last minute and people on here being unhappy.

But as it stands with our small squad numbers the players will probably get the same number of minutes as larger squads playing more games.
Until we get some more bodies in I don't want us playing many game at the moment. This early in pre-season you want to be slowly building up game time and intensity, giving players 45-60minutes. As it stands the players would be having to play way more than is sensible. If we did that I predict we'd have another season of numerous injuries.

To be fair some of the stuff he was saying aligned with stuff I was hearing but I think whoever was feeding it to him had a specific agenda and was ignoring why stuff was happening and exagerrating the consequences of it.
I hope he keeps posting but you have to read between the lines.
