Good job he's not playing there then isn't it?

Robins called him an attacking midfielder, he will play CAM with O'Hare and Palmer alternating i would assume

What does that mean for Allen? Increased competition? Or is he to cover Hamer in the middle? Or both, I suppose.

Turner is pathetic, id listen to the snot in my hanky before i listen to him
Nevertheless I hadn't picked up on Robins confirming that he was a AM overnight so that was all that was out there. Turner was quoting someone else this time...

I agree that he looks to be cover/sub for Calum more than RWB

They need to be half decent at the basics though. Strong on the ball, know how to tackle, good positional sense, stop the cross coming in, avoid getting 1-2'd all game, that kind of thing.

Yeah I’m just fighting a one man war over here 🤣

I don’t think height is that important though TBH, it’ll just mean the back three pick up those balls. But he looks … tenacious, like O’Hare or Allen so I think he’ll do OK. I see him as a JWE/Maatsen style WB.

I should have added taking a throw without needing all day to think about it. I saw Hamer just walk away a few times when BNC was taking

I think player roles are more flexible these days - I’d expect Robins to mix and match his wing backs depending on opponents and whether they’ll be needed more as an attacking outlet (Da Silva, Sakamoto) or to support the back three (Bidwell, Latibeaudiaire?)

Plus, with Palmer’s injury record and O’Hare out until Christmas, he’s obviously going to see a lot of time in AM no matter what happens.

Nowadays we have all sorts of names and descriptions about positions but from the clips I’ve seen for me in old language Tatsu is a winger/forward skilful on the ball, buzzing about, gets forward quick, takes the ball to defenders, I’m cautiously optimistic he will do well.

Sorry SBT, I gave that one a laugh emoji when it was meant to be a like, and can't see a way to change it!

Yeah, the type of wingback we put on the field will surely depend on the opposition and the state of play at the time.

Edit: just realised you can change the emoji quite easily, so I've done that.

I think a laugh gives him 2 for his reaction score whereas a like is just 1, so you've done him a favour really.
