From the limited time we saw him (came on in the Rangers friendly I think?) he looked like he had some good technical ability. I’m guessing the recruitment team saw something in his stats but he didn’t have the athleticism for this level.

Just noticed Southampton are ready to sell Romeo Lavia and think they should get £50 million for him he is a player who never realy stood out for me when watching any of their games last season.This price is what Spurs paid for Maddison a proven player and they think they can get the same money for a prospect.If thats the case IMO Doyle is worth the same as we want for Vic. at least.
I don't get the Lavia thing either. I mean, he looked ok in a poor Southampton team, but the numbers they want are actually insane!! They want more for Ward-Prowse than Maddison!! He's a good player but fucking hell, reign your neck in Southampton!!
Lavia is going to be some player in a few years. Looks a very good player for his age.

Think it was Pompey away where he went round the keeper and could have slotted in with his right foot, but chose to cut back on his left and completely fluffed the chance
Summed up his time with us really - though I did like him and his work rate was excellent

4 goals in 43 league games for us. He should have had 20 that season. He was like a precursor to O’Hare in many ways, ridiculous work rate for a forward, exciting on the ball, fast. But he missed so many chances that by the end I wouldn’t even get excited when the ball came to him, was just resigned to him missing, and I think that was the frustration for me. That rush of excitement as a move unfolds and you get that split second realization that we might score here… was just gone
