No

But don't publicly claim all the work being done at Ryton and new pitch etc is all coming out of his pocket and then say the vik money is going towards it in the statement

Contradicting himself
We've still got millions - the 'clever little deception' does nothing to diminish that very much. I don't like lies at any time.

The bit where he said we had recruited and will continue to recruit or the bit where he wants to invest in infrastructure?
As @Saddlebrains said, I’m sure he’s come out and said infrastructure would be funded by himself

so the vik money is going to fund the infrastructure, that’s fine but we need so many players, and good ones at that

That last paragraph on the website slightly concerns me

where’s the money???
It can’t all be given to agents and players … some needs investing back into the fabric of the club for the first time in a decade and some kept to help safe guard the club.

not all fans will like that but it has to be the right thing to do ….

What do you expect him to say? Would you want him to tell all other clubs that we have money burning a hole in our pocket so please go ahead and double your asking price? He's smart, and he said exactly what I would say.
He's tempering expectations and protecting our position in the transfer market.

Yeah from that side of it that is fair enough

Give Matt a few minutes and he'll change his mind
So what if we can afford more work now , the club needs it . Who gives a flying fuck where it comes from?

Wish him the best of luck, he's been fantastic for us, no doubt and I'm sure he will be a success there too. But, on we go. No point being too sad about it.

Its all well and good saying il pay for the Ryton renovations

If he then proceeds to but that money back in his pocket from the Vik sale I don't think that's a good look?
He hasn't said that at all. Christ your agenda against Doug is all-consuming isn't it?? £3.5 million on Simms, more than a million quid for Sakamoto. Clearly more players coming in, club infrastructure being upgraded massively. More season tickets sold than ever before and all of this off the back of a run to the playoff final. What more do you want??

How do you know he will though? He has talked about renovating ryton as a whole and adding facilities. How would you expect those to be paid for?
