So frustrating. It’s not even like Woakes is a serial offender either, first one this innings apparently 🤦‍♂️. Hope it’s not costly but already painful

To still be batting at the end of it ! Looking at the weather I reckon the only way we are likely to win is by putting on massive first innings score. Saturday looks a complete wash out and Sunday very iffy.

Some streaky runs from these two but don't particularly care as long as they keep getting them. Crawley needs to convert this now.

We're going well here, have managed to get ahead of the game. Aus were 120-3 at this point.

Wouldn't put it past Stokes declaring tonight at this rate

Gut feeling is we’ve got to put up a massive score and look to only bat once with the weather forecast. Also need to rest Woody and quicks a bit more. Who knows with Stokes though 🤷‍♂️. First things first let’s get ahead of them with plenty of wickets in hand then see how it goes ! Nobody can complain about the entertainment so far though

You'd think now he would tell them to go One day mode in this evening session

Twat them about as much as you can because the rain is going to completely write off Saturday, may get a few hours in on Sunday

Yeah not saying he should, just wouldn't surprise me after everything we've seen.

On another note, this feels more like what Bazball should be. Haven't seen anything stupid or overly aggressive but have gone at over 7 an over. A few things have gone our way in the field admittedly and Crawley has still played a lot of false shots but it's been mightily impressive.

Get the runs on the board then the pressure is on Aussies - not easy batting in weather gaps with damp conditions. Soft declaration (anything under 100-150 lead) then the Aussies know England will have to bat again.

I don’t think ‘Bazballs’ really changed. It’s all about making opposition uncomfortable and putting them under pressure and players playing with clear mind. Just some poorly executed shots in first couple of tests. As you say, maybe we’ve just had a bit of luck with it so far today (Crawley and Ali could’ve been out a number of times). We deserve a bit of luck though, hopefully we can keep it going for rest of the test ! Would be great to go to the oval all square, the series deserves it

I said earlier I couldn’t see a positive result in this game due to possible weather problems. Now if England get a good lead by lunch tomorrow I think there is a possibility. Fantastic day by England so far

That ball to root shows there's still plenty in the pitch for England when they bowl

Yeah, one hopped up just after as well

Would be great if we could bat through to lunch tomorrow then really put the pressure on. Balls gone a bit soft and run rate slowed so can see us maybe trying to force it too much

Im quite shocked we havent gone at them very much in this session. With the forecast if we want to win we need to race ahead as much as possible and start bowling at them from Lunch tomorrow

Why is it shocking? It's late in the day, clearly the best tactics were to see out the rest of the day and then we can put the foot down tomorrow.
