Who do you think is our worst player?

I'll get the ball rolling, Brown, but McSheffrey of the players we own.

I haven't added Bell because we haven't seen him this season yet.

O'Donovan

Worse player who is around the first team, probably Brown. Worse player in terms of value for money, probably Wood or Sheff

Worst because he infuriates with his poor passes, dodgy heading and being caught out of position: Reece Brown.

McSheffrey takes the 'biggest drop in ability' award as his current form compared to his year in the championship prior to joining Brum; is stark.

Worst could also mean in terms of poor return for wages over Cov career: Roy O'Donnovan has had a wage for 3 years (?) in current spell and contributes vertically nothing of note.

Btw, this thread wasn't intentionally negative, I just wanted to see what the general concensus was between us.

The worst in terms of productivity, value for money etc. has to be Roy O'Donovan

Historically and for the same reasons the worst of all time surely is Keith O'Neil.

Has to be BROWN. Could not believe my eyes when he was in team of the week in the Sunday Mirror yesteday.

Why do we play players with no passion, no fight and cannot win or pass a ball? (whole team on Sayurday).

A year ago I would say Kevin Drinkwell was our worst player ever, hat trick in his first game, dismal after, but this season I feel if he was in the side, he might look quite good. This season Mcsheffey has been poor, to many missed chances should have had a hat trick against Carlise, far too greedy against Arsenal

Wtf is your problem with Billy Daniels? He is 18, started two games and plays out of position ffs!

Kilbane or Billy Daniels, there just not footballers

That's a fairly dumb comment - one is a young player starting his career and the other has made over 600 appearances including 110 for his country!

The most disappointing ever for me was Moldovan. £3.25 Million for 1 league goal. Okay the other goal he scored was the Villa goal in the FA Cup which gave me one of the best away days ever but, he also missed the blatant sitter away to Sheff Utd in the quarter final that even I could have scored and would surely have put us into the semi against Newcastle. The trip back on the bus was one of the most depressing ever. If only I'd have known what was coming...

Current players would be too numerous to mention and I'd probably get cramp.

McSheffery has been in a rut this year but he's a good player. He proved that last season after Juke left. Its gotta be O'Donnovan. Havent seen too much of him this season, which is a good thing, and i hope to god we dont. He couldnt hit a barn door with a blow dart. Worst striker ever. Ball isnt great from what i've seen either, slow, weakand rubbish infront of goal and going towards it. Brown has been awful this season. Why are we playing him? His marking is crap, he's rubbish as a full back, he just follows strikers and doesnt even attempt to put in a challenge, whats the bloody point of him?

In fairness to Moldovan though, he didn't get many games in the league because he had an in-form Dublin and Huckerby partnership to contend with. If he'd got more game time, I think he'd have been a very good player for us.

We've had some shockers over the years. Of recent memory, I have to go for Rafaelle Nuzzo. Thank goodness he didn't hang around too long!

Baker. Think I ve seen probably two good games out of him. Every game he may do one or two runs which people think are great and then either fluffs his cross, runs out of pitch or falls over. Really do nt see much in him. I read someone say I love Bakers passion, well he might be passionate but he s really not very good.

Was a bellend but also one of the best players we have had though.....other than was always getting offside.

Bellamy was absolutely atrocious for us! He tended to miss 3 or 4 sitters a game. I hold him responsible for our relegation-if he'd have taken a quarter of those chances, we'd probably have stayed up.

Bellamy scored 6 goals in the season we went down. John Hartson scored that many in the 12 games he played for us. I think you're right to say Bellamy played a big part in our relegation that season. Any which way you choose to look at it, for a striker who cost us so much, that is a poor return.
