CBS looking tired (4 Viewers)

I know someone that is involved in the management of the catering provision and they said the facilities were on such a bad state things were having to be prepared offsite

From the sounds of things a lot of it was beyond repair and they’ve ripped everything out and started again
The rumours of multi million pounds dilapidations / back log maintenance were factual. Makes it even worse that they got public money grants to add conservatories to the outside.

That’s the nature of grants though isn’t it? Not usually available for maintenance.

The one thing that stood out with Highfield Road towards the end was the sky blue steelwork both on the stanchions and the roof trusses. It generally looked really tidy in that respect. The one thing that stands out about the CBS is the cladding. It’s the wrong colour for starters. Even dark blue would look better if the steelwork was sky blue to reflect our club colours.

Thank you, I wondered if anyone ever noticed it was the wrong shade of blue.

You do have to wonder where it all went. The amount they got for the Commonwealth Games compared to the work actually done doesn't seem to line up and clearly it didn't go on maintenance

Obviously just paying for day to day expenditure.

How was there no council oversight. Wasps owned ACL and a long lease, but at the end of the day the council owns the freehold (unless I’m mistaken) surely they have some responsibility to ensure it is being kept in a reasonable condition

Drove past the ground earlier heading towards the M6 and sad to see the external state of the arena in particular the Sky Blue cladding tiles.

Looks awful, faded and marked.

Does anyone know of any plans to spruce the exterior up? looks really shabby.

In the big scheme of things surely its not a big deal to tart it up.
Fans have been saying it for last few seasons. Wasps did nothing to maintain it.

Depends on the lease conditions.
