On the face of it looks like its spent brilliantly. Almost equal spends across defence, midfield and attack too. Hopefully more to come.

Better spending money on the team, then Joy investing on hand bags

It would be nice to spend another £5m or so on another CB and ST for money and then RWB, CAM, CM on frees.
Sure there will be loans to supplement too. Although looking at the team not sure we could guarantee much game time.

One really clear positive of getting so near yet so far in May has been we can stack in promotion clauses into these deals which help us to pay less up front. The priorities will now surely be in central defence and up front, plus a bit more depth in central midfield.

It will also hopefully mean a much better chance of us getting in more 8 figure fees further down the line.

I think go and get Denis, Kitching and our permenant business will be done, I'd be content with that.
I think we'll see more permanent than that. Genuinely think we'll only get 1 or 2 loans.

Trust in Robins. He said we were looking at exciting players before the playoffs were over.

Like a lot of people I was OK with Gyokeres leaving as long as the money was used to upgrade the quality and quantity of the squad.

It seems like the club are ticking those boxes. Funds well used on the face of it.

Welcome back BSB! It’s good to have you back and wishing you and Mrs BSB well.

Hoping the optimism of the window enticed you back!
I did say right after the final that I wished we hadn't got through to it if losing like that were the outcome. As it happens, getting that close has obviously helped us attract higher calibre players for less up front cash because promotion clauses are seen to be worth accepting.

So I'm quite glad to be wrong!

Its been a great window. Can anyone remember when the proceeds of a player sale were genuinely reinvested back into the club?

I think it really does prove that Doug means business. He knows the way for him to make a profit is to get promoted, and to do that the team needs investment.

They'll be a few loans I'm sure. But the last few years they have all been spot on. We're in such a great position now, we'll be top of the list of clubs to loan to.

Supporters older than 30 are in disbelief
Supporters younger than 20 full of optimism and expectation
20 to 30.....sort of remember the old championship years of being shit and all of Sisu's ownership
I'm 43 years old and never thought we'd be back in a position to invest like we have in the last few weeks. I'm fortunate enough to be going to Leicester and taking the 14 year old.....I actually feel like a 14 year old again and literally cannot wait til Sunday 6th August..!!

This is exactly how clubs grow.

We've never done it to my knowledge.

We would have a great player, sell him, give the manager 25% of the fee, and then spend the rest on the electric bill.

We are also bringing in players who might be okay should we go up, we will obviously have to bring in established Premiership quality but not lots as we would have had to do this season.

It was a depressing ‘hangover’ feeling after the playoff loss so I understand the collective doom and gloom on the forum. We knew Gyokeres was leaving and believe Hamer was off too.

Personally, I was optimistic because Robins said we were gonna have a ‘churn’ and attract exciting players. My expectations have been well surpassed! We seem to have fully embraced the opportunity to revamp the squad after selling Gyokeres.

We’ve had years of ‘neglect’ and that’s definitely impacted our collective mood as a fan base. Truly, fair play to Doug King for seizing an opportunity to really invest.

Needless to say, those 18-19k sold season tickets played their part too!

Roll on 7th August.
