Anyway Dragus, if it happens I'm calling it now he's gonna be a fan favourite. Trust the management to get the best out of him and his technical ability is top notch. We'll be streets ahead of most teams in that regard.

This is my thinking with Maja (sorry to keep going on). Not looked terribly prolific at Fulham or Stoke when he’s been out on loan but he has the fundamentals and I back our coaching team to maximise the potential of players.

Agree. If wages were right I’d be tempted to go for Maja

No I agree, he's got good feet and brings others into play nicely. I think he'd work pretty well with what we already have.

One thing about Dragus is that he looks an exceptional ball carrier. Constantly transitioning into the final third, something we have desperately missed without O'hare.

He’s a bag of tricks as well. One of the brightest prospects to come out of Romania for a long time. Came through the Gheorge Hagi academy. Scored goals at international level.

Needs to be settled at a club with good coaching to maximise that potential. Been at the basket case clubs Standard and Bologna (same owner) with crazy managers.

Welcome to Coventry!

Mentioned him as a possible Gyo replacement back in January. I am to be honest surprised that Bologna are fine to let him go, but it kind of seems set up for Forest to sign him.

Would be a real coup for us to get him but doubt we’re in the running
Wouldn't the baggage of his dad's past there mean that Forest is unlikely? I guess it would be a good story but the way it ended there for PvH was so toxic, Forest fans hated him

Spoke to someone in Romania about him yesterday. Said his best position is as a second striker, quick feet and scores goals from range. Said he’s not the most physical but has done well for Romania. This is one of his international goals (sorry it’s a FB link):

The Romanian commentator calls him Dragoosh (rhyming with Boosh).

On his way to FC Lorient apparently.

Think it was, Don’t think Cloughie was his manager would have been a brave thing to do under him.

PvH was signed by Frank Clarke at Forest from Celtic. Too late to save them from relegation but he got them up from second tier the next season. With new owners and manager (Dave Bassett) and the sale of Kevin Campbell he went on strike in order to try and engineer the move away that he claimed he had been promised.

I can see him really exciting the crowd, but blowing a bit hot and cold also potentially losing possession quite a bit as well. Sakamoto could be of a similar ilk IMO.

I think MVE will excite people but be more consistent.

We don't want him if he rhymes with Boosh.

This has been a credible story ever since it emerged, far more so than the Vente rumour.

By all accounts, he will sign on Monday or Tuesday and looks like yet another really exciting talent.

Not concerned about his goal rate for Liege. If he had scored 20 goals last season, then he would be valued at £20 million. Not £1.5 million.

What Cov are potentially getting is a player who will compliment Simms but more importantly, offer something different to Simms and Godden, giving Robins options.

It will also fit into Robins’ chaos theory of attacking….City attacking at speed, causing opponents problems by having attacking variations
