She is wondering where the 9,000 fans that went to Arsenal are tonight? Just thought I'd post the message on to you guys

Thought saying she's female would have more of an impact than the usual moaning miserable male cov supporter

Cov v MK Dons - min price for adult £14!

and there is champions league football on

Yes its a real mystery why those 9000 aren't at the Ricoh

Actually just announced crowd around 9,400 - so perhaps they ARE there!

As many as it takes to drill it into some peoples skulls that its OK for non season ticket holders to want to attend a glamour tie without being slated for saying so

Fair enough, your motive for posting it wasn't all that apparent. I agree with you that nobody should be slated for wanted to attend a glamour tie that's what the cups are for for all outside the Premier League.

We have effing useless fans. Lots of daytrippers who just DON'T SUPPORT the team when they need it most. I'm talking about the LOCALS around the City. Say within 10 miles. Effing useless. Sick of hearing the excuses. It isn't OK to try and say you support a team when you CHOOSE not to turn up. Sick note fans, always a reason why not.
You have every right to go to Arsenal, but don't try and call yourself a supporter when you don't turn up a week later. Effing useless.

The Emirates bandwagon.

Sick of hearing how everyone who went was so 'proud' of the team. Come and watch this dross we've been seeing all season then see how proud you are.

I would like to introduce myself as one of them shite glory supporters. I was at the Arsenal game.

I couldn't go last night. Can't go to a game for a few weeks either. I have commitments. Mainly work. My next game is looking like away at Leyton Orient. For this game I will be leaving my house between 3am and 4am. I won't get home until Sunday night. I can't do this every game. I do shift work. Then it looks as though I can't make the next two home games but can make it away to the monkey hangers on the next away game. So yes I go as far south as we play as well as up north as far as we go. I am shite though as I don't live near Cov to make it easy to get most home games in.

We have season ticket holders that live 100 miles and more away from Cov. They need to be saluted. But I suppose it is easier to continually have a go at us that try our best which is not good enough for some.

I would like to add a question. Where were all these home fans at some away games like last season at places quite close as Burnley? IIRC we only took about 600. How many of those constantly moaning do their best to get to games like this instead of only going to games on their doorstep?

Burnleys close????

A home game for me is nearly 4 hours each way with clearish roads and nearly a 500 mile round trip, but I get questioned on why I don't go more often. I go past the Burnley turning about halfway through my journey so yes I call it close.

Why mention it then?
"I don't care but I want you all to know I don't care"
Thus proving that you care.

I don't need to justify my support to anybody. I'll pick and choose my games, and if that gets up the noses of the righteous ones it really doesn't affect me.

I couldn't care less if some people only go to the odd game or two per season, or every game home and away. Nobody knows another's personal circumstance so it's not up to others to judge.

I wish the Ricoh was sold out week in, week out, but it's not and never has been. I don't know why people get so worked up about it? Surely they should be happy when we garner bigger support? Not go on some moral crusade about being a better supporter, I find it quite childish to be honest.

As for "thus proving you care", I've more important things going on in my life than to care whether a fellow City fan is more of a supporter than me, I genuinely couldn't care less. I will go when I want to, not because some keyboard warrior claims the moral high ground. There is actually more to life than watching grown men kick a bag of air around a field you know.

i really do care what internet forum strangers think of me
especially internet strangers from coventry whom are nationally renowned for there wonderful and objective views
not only do i care about being told where i should go and what i should watch, but i was also looking for some fashion tips, maybe a bit of a poke in the right direction of what to eat and drink and what position to take my girlfriend ,
i also feel there should be a strict criteria for anyone wanting to go and watch coventry city on a regular basis like .. does your drool reach the floor without breaking, and would you like to wipe your arse with a £20 note ?

Reeling them in with a 2 line post.

I don't care if people turn up or not, obviously I'd rather we filled the ground. I stopped going myself for 2 years when I was living in Nottingham, lack of money and being a student. I'm on the brink of giving up now to be honest, but I still keep dragging myself up there!

An on-going forum problem about "full-time" supporters slating "part-timers" because they have other comittments etc, boring. I myself don't go to every Saturday game because at the minute I would rather play myself and score more goals than all of our forwards put together. I also attended the Arsenal game because in all of my 24 year's as a Coventry fan all we have achieved is relegation so I deserve a day out at the Emirates if i'm completely honest. You people who comment and bang on about people who don't go every Saturday, it's your choice to go and watch that but do not slate people who have other committments and can't make it for whatever reason. The majority of you Coventry fan's come on this forum after Sarurdays and slate the lad's anyway so i cannot understand for the life of me why your above every other "part-time" fan.

Basically everyone is a bit too precious about it all. Let's just all get on with it.

The posts on this thread really back up the notion that Coventry City FC really do have some of the worst 'supporters' in the country. These part time, fair weather fans aren't supporters at all. I'm talking about the locals who choose not to come, as I laid out in my earlier post. They are the reason we don't do better as a club, less supporters, less money, lesser quality of player. People bang on about how rubbish the club is but don't help them - turning their backs on them when they most need it. They don't have a true passion for the club, it is some kind of entertainment or lifestyle choice for them, 'blokes kicking a bag of wind around.' That kind of sick note attitude condemns the club.
The new manager has cited Leeds as a good example of great support. We're a million miles away from that. The loyal hardcore fans here are terrific. The locals who choose not to come really let the club down. Yeah sure, turn up for Arsenal, Chelsea etc, but you aren't supporters, just daytrippers. As I said, 'effing useless.'
