Is he still injured? If so how long is he out for? From the games I have been to we are definitely missing him giving our current crop of rubbish.

Carries far more attacking threat than say Baker......though sadly nowadays I also have to say also McSheffrey! He also has more quality on the ball in posession think we would make a lot more chance with him in team?

Any ideas on a comeback date?

I think he has three injuries at the moment.

A carpet burn, mouth ulcer and nits.

still injured and probably about a month away from being back, but disagree bell hasn't done anything to prove he is a decent player here at all whereas baker was decent his first season here and baker has got the most assists for us this season so far and has 2 goals bell has decent glimpse about 5 games a season from what i have seen.

Sadly bell is much like the rest of our midfield, technically sound but not up for the fight. Excellent delivery when he gets in the right positions which ball could benefit from if selected

Once again an assumption based on his previous outings in the team...

If Robin's can improve some of the players in the space of a week then whose to say he wont do the same for Bell.

Bell will get his chance, just like everyone else has...remember "Everyone has a clean slate and I will be giving them a chance to prove they want to play for this club"

You never know, Bell might just suprise us all!

David Bell is not the answer

It is if the question is "What floats like a butterfly and stings like one too!"

He's scored 5 goals and as I can remember about 2 assists in 80 odd games...

look how far we have dropped when you consider David Bell will improve the side

I think he does have some good qualities, he does have a good delivery but he never gets far enough down the wing to deliver a dangerous cross and he does have a good shot on him but never gets far enough forward to have a shot on goal

Bell could surprise us by having a decent game for once. Baker has hardly ripped this league apart as predicted by some on here expect Bell to do something similar.

The sooner Sheffers, Baker & bell leave this club the better, on extended contacts given for less than mediocre performances is the recipe for disaster.

The reason for this is simple; the further you go down the pitch towards the opposition goal the more likely it is that those nasty defender types will tackle you and you may get hurt. God forbid that that should happen!!!

Its funny how our players get better the longer they are out of the first team - seem to remember half way through last season when we were all clamouring for the return of Clingan, that was going to turn our season around and we know how that ended. Bell was crap, is crap and will be crap and if Bell is the answer I'd hate to know the question.

it would be really good to hear an accurate reply from the club, as to what is the latest on the fitness of this player,
it would also be of interest to get quotes from KD who awarded his contract,
and also TF who is now working feverishly for the sky blue cause,
& also JS who is now 'hands on'
mmmm

I don't mind David Bell unlike some who relentlessly attack him

However to suggest he posses more of an attacking threat than baker???

i'm not attacking him, i am merely bemused by the absolute lack of news about one of our 'supposedly' better players,
still it's thursday now so,
let's hear the latest diatribe from TF & SW

Is that next week, then? Oooh, I'm looking forwards to that! 'Cos the only player I've seen improve under Robins is Baker, and he was diabolical on Tuesday too.

Maybe he could wear a red and white jumper with stripes and we can try to spot him in the crowd, won't be to hard to find him!

This player has been a drain and a liability to this club from day one and to extend his contract was beyond madness. The best we can hope for is to get him fit and fook him off as he will never have the body to cope with playing pro level football over a sustained period.

As for his ability doesnt matter, he may have some but if you are in the stand watching every week you are no use and with his history even if he got fit ,, how long does he last... Get rid and use his wages on someone who can play and push for a first team spot every week...

Dude there has been improvements across the field in terms of effort since Robins took the job.

You need to see it as a starting point rather than a negative backstep!

I think he can improve this squad immensely and whose to say Bell wont be one of those players!
