Happy with this. Should’ve scored on Sunday but for the wages he’s on and lack of transfer fee this makes sense. Especially when we already spent millions on two strikers who’ll be ahead of him - we can’t expect to spend much more.

He’s a good member of the squad and happy he’s here for a bit longer

Godden's all round game is better than it was when he joined the club. His movement is excellent. He just needs to be a little bit more composed and he'll score a decent number again.

He's a good player to keep at the club for the likes of Simms to learn from imo. He's also a good character with a good mentality.

Not concerned about Goddens finishing, it’s one of his best attributes. If he got the same chances against Boro Saturday id expect him to put a couple away.

Taking it one step further; I think Godden put a spanner in the Simms / Wright partnership on Sunday, (for the short to mid term at least). Simms is a talent but has a lot to learn from Godden about movement and positioning. If you remember, after Latibeaudiere’s [Edit to add: or some other fuckers] first training session, he was impressed with Godden’s movement and commented on it.

It appears Godden is staying, not only to help develop Simms but to fight him hard for his place. This, imo is a smart move by MR.

I’m sure he feels that he should have bagged at least one. I’m ok to put this game down to a little “early season rust” and let’s not forget their keeper made two really good saves from him.

Looks like a post has been deleted?

He started just 22 games last season(big chunk cos of injury)

I think around 20 this year be a good number for squad rotation purposes. Like I said in a different thread you would still back him to score goals when he does play.

Should have had three away Sunday away to one of the teams likely to finish near the top

I was interested at FGR to hear just how much talking to and encouragement Godden was giving Obikwu. He was really telling him what to do in terms of chasing defenders down etc.

Puts a bigger value on his head if clubs want him.

I've had enough of you being a dick. I notice you deleted your post when you realised he started 22 games last year.

I do not hate him and I don't think I slsg him off. I have my opinion that he isn't always invovled as much as I would like and I like many mentioned his missed chances.

But you thought I was slagging him off because I asked if he scored Vs exeter or if it was a own goal so it shows how sensitive you are when he is mentioned. That's why you posted the top 6 image because your so bias towards godden. You are the issue here no one else. Stop making up stuff about others hating him simply cos they don't love him as much as you.
