O'Hare (3 Viewers)

It is a very sensitive subject on here, but the reality is we were one kick from the premier league. A lot of that success came about by the fact injuries meant Hamer played a lot of games as our most advanced midfielder. The standard of end product from him in both goals and assists was on another level which made us lethal. O'Hare offers a lot to the team and will be a welcome addition back, but end product is something he has suffered with. That's not to be negative, I will be happy he is back around the squad, but with the standard now being higher, it means he won't necessarily walk right back into the team.

If he gets to the same standard he will. He’d be a PL player right now if he hadn’t got injured.

The O'Hare of 21/22 goes straight into this team.

We'll just have to see whether he can return to that level. Let's hope he can because he was unbelievable that season.

Also in the few minutes they had together last season, he and Palmer looked really good together. The goal at home to Blackpool was just *chef's kiss*

I don’t think palmer will be playing centre forward again

But this maybe shows MR's lucky side again. now we've seen Hamer playing hat bit more advanced out ofnecessity he's got the option of playing O'Hare and Hamer in the more advanced positions with Eccles and Sheaf behind, Hamer next to Sheaf with either O'Hare and Palmer/ Tatsu advanced or O'hare as CAM and Simms/Godden and Wright as a top two. Nice to have options.

'if Hamer stays of course.

Hopefully not but that doesn't mean he and O'Hare won't play together.

Highly unlikely they will start together - I struggle to see a 1 striker formation this season - I actually wouldn’t be surprised if Palmer moves on at the end of the season if O Hare gets back to his best and signs a new deal

It's a long season, people will get injured/suspended and we know Robins likes the box formation so I'm sure we'll seen one up front at various points in the season.

Palmer doesn't do the running or the biting at the ankles Ohare does.
It's not non stop running but he still closes people down and forces mistakes. Some fans just swallowed the "he is lazy bullshit."

It’s not lazy it’s the fact he cannot see 90 minutes out - his energy level decline - the notion he could play in hamers role or cover ground like O Hare is laughable

How many minutes did he play on Sunday?
I never said he covered as much ground as O'Hare and certainly never suggested he could play in Hamers role - as usual you just twist what people say and make things up.

Palmer will be far more effective for us this season than last sesson and I think his stamina will have improved.
