They haven’t won away at Cov in 100 years and we seem to want to sign half of their team from last season. Probably more sick of the sight of sky blue than Michael Carrick

Bristol also after him which doesn’t surprise me as they have a big pot of money to play with now with Scott leaving.
More likely to come here you’d have thought, especially with the Brad Collins link.

A full international with championship experience. I can see why you wouldn't rate him

Ive not said I don’t rate him. Kastaneer is a full international with Championship experience. Just watching him doesn’t fill me with joy 🤷🏻‍♂️ And if he’s available for peanuts why has no one bought him?

We're definitely after 2, but regardless I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.

Is he better than what we got? Eccles has been superb and better than last season so far.

For me I'd be looking at players that are better than what we got. Theres a reason hes £2M. I'd be looking at next level above £5M plus player.

And I'm not saying this lad isnt good.

If true, slightly underwhelmed , but does have experience of the league. Can’t believe he’s only 23! I suppose in that respect , plenty of time to develop and fits the mould. Willing to give him a chance

2 million isn't peanuts is it? And 29 minutes experience against 124 games is the same isn't it? Plus Hungary and curaçao are easily the same level too. I take it back. Your historic accurate assessment of players strikes again......

O’Hare was free
Hamer and Gyo were about £1m each

Yes I'd say his potential is way beyond Eccles, who I rate for the record.

For someone to come in to replace a £15m player it is! I’m just asking why no one has taken a punt. I didn’t realise he was your mum and you’ve take offence.

If you don’t know anything about him just leave it for those that do and get back to hate wanking over my profile.

I'm been talking up Styles for probably a month or more. He's nowhere near Hamer's talent but as a box to box midfielder, what he does have would give us an exceptional replacement and would fit in with our other CMs.

Oh, hang on. That Twitter story is by Alan Nixon. I have no faith in his reporting. Seems he has no more knowledge than any of us on this forum. When it breaks from someone else, I may get a bit more excited.
Exactly, we could build an entire squad around players Alan Nixon has linked us with. Sharp and Gallagher up front for starters.

He wouldn't be a direct replacement so stop wetting yourself. I haven't taken offence I'm just having a differing to your opinion which you don't like. I know about him quite a bit but I didn't think that mattered to you anyway as you always rate players before watching them.

Let's just not bring in players for the sake of it. They need to be better than what we got. That's all I'm saying.

We have some money to spend now let's push the boat out. A statement signing. Plus one or 2 for squad depth.

We have shown we dont need to shop in Primark.

You haven’t offered an opinion other than “he’s an international with Championship experience” to which I pointed out that alone isn’t much. And you spat your dummy out again. But yeah sure it was actually a comment on my football knowledge, or something. Good one.

I'd take a punt at £2million tbf.
He's got good energy, decent experience for his age, and is left footed which is a bonus.

With Hamer gone and Allen out for a while, Kelly in his final year, Palmer unlikely to play 40+ games, and O'hare's return still a way off and his long term recovery unknown, I'd definitely look to bring him in, he's the right age to mould into a Hamer type of player.

He was probably Barnsleys most highly rated player during the season they, very unexpectedly, got to the play offs. He was doing this at about 20 years old. He's still highly thought of and plays for Hungary who are no mugs. 2 million would actually be a steal.

This time last year paying a transfer fee for anyone was out of the question. Whoever is signed it’ll be with their attributes in mind and the club will have done its homework.

My feeling is still that two CMs are needed anyway and if there’s a player who fits what we’re looking for at a fixed £2m then it would make sense.

I've watched him play as well, criteria you don't usually use. I didn't spit my dummy out at all I gave some stats to back up my opinion. You responded with 'is he your mum'. Highly mature response to bring disagreed with.

Im not bothered about the fact he’s a L1 player, just want to know why if he’s decent and young no one has activated such a low release clause. Didn’t Millwall have him on loan? Why didn’t he stay?

I think we need just one quality CM addition. 2 would be a waste of money.

when Allen is back (hes a big utility midfielder for us) he give us alot of depth.

We are still short at centre back.

Presumably weren’t willing to pay £2 million for the privilege. Nor will a good number of Championship clubs because it’s too big a chunk of their budget.

Would like to see a midfield of Sheaf Eccles and Styles with styles having license to go forward. Think Palmers contribution significantly wanes post 60 minutes
