Simms is clearly a confidence player, just needs a goal. I would also like to see him be more aggressive and put himself about more with defenders. Unfortunately for him you have to assume he will start on the bench vs Swansea?

Sakamoto looked lively, his crossing though was mediocre and would also like to see him run at players and take them on more in the box.

Wright looks absolute class, unbelievably comfortable on the ball.

Sheaf was outstanding for most of the game but he did make a few wayward passes.

We backed off them and gave them too much space in the middle third of the game. There was a chance at the end of the first half today when McFadz (I think) made a vital interception, could have easily been an own goal, but luckily fell into Wilsons arms.

Although I came out smiling and singing on another day with Middlesbrough being more clinical the result could have been very different

Looks like he needs a goal and a bit of love. Got to get a song going for him. Must be shit hearing another strikers name being chanted even when he’s not on the pitch, and that’s before he gets a home debut goal. He’s also got the cursed running style which means he will get moaned at.
He looks sad, like he's wearing Kevin Drinkell's haunted eyes. Think when he gets one goal he'll be fine.

Biggest problem on the left was no one showing down the line for da silva
Wright came on and showed for that ball completely different game
Sakamoto looked excellent
Sakomoto looks like one of those players who you always get 100% determination and graft. Like a much more skilful Sean Flynn or Chris Stokes. He also looks like he might be just as solid at RWB defensively as van Ewijk. Nice to have the versatility, anyway-what's that, AMC, LWB & RWB in his first 3 City games?

To think people thought we'd never use him at WB...

Great point Finham. He looks superb at RWB. I also see him as someone who would be brilliant with O’Hare in the front 2 of a box with HW up front on his own.

Couldn’t believe he missed at the time and the replay is even worse. Equally couldn’t believe we’d messed up that badly from the position we had the ball.
A comedy of errors from Dasilva, Lati, Sheaf, Fadz and even Thomas being miles out of position.

Sheaf man of the match. Eccles not far behind. Both sublime.

Superb performance but they look extremely poor.

WiFi 5 - looked good during the first half and had spells in the second but lost possession (connection) far too easily. Good to see it back though after a long time out. Fitness still an issue.
Sounds like you need a newer ipad!

Eccles man of the match for me. (The Hamer silver lining is the chance for others to win)
Sheaf was great but often fades into the background in 2nd half of games
