Why would we get rid of Cashman ? He played in u21 yesterday and cant be on much.
What's he actually gaining from being here though, and what are we gaining from him being here? A string of failed loans says he won't step up with us, so he needs to go somewhere and build a career for himself. He's not experienced enough to lead younger players and help them improve - he's just a body we're keeping fit.

But im not sure what the plan is with him. As all huis loans have been short
Presume he will just stay to pad out the 21s. With Obikwu and Stretton being around the first team he will probably be needed to fulfill our PDL fixture committments.

Going to go to the wire isn't it 🙄 can see one coming I'm tomorrow now, will probably end up overpaying for a player who's team is paying hardball.

Not claiming to be itk because I’m not, but heard today that we’re looking at Remo Freuler from Forest for the number 8 role. Seems abit far fetched to me. Current vice captain and full international for Switzerland.

Would set us back 6-8m and doesn’t fit the model at 31, so again, sceptical.

No chance and he’s been shite for Forest.

Well get them over the line

that’s your job

our midfield isn’t good enough

anyone who thinks it is, is delusional
It is good enough though.
sheaf is the best DM in the league, Eccles is getting better and better and will continue to, Palmer is in a good vein of form, Sakamoto looks good, Kelly is a solid back up for an experienced to come on and sit out a game of which we’re 1-0 up or looking to play for the draw. Yes we need 1 more in there but its certainly good enough, and we have Allen and O’hare to still come back

Our current midfield is pretty good tbh. But I just think it needs a bit of help with an extra man and going back to the box. There's no real control with 2 up front imo

This is rebuild year, not panic year. If no deals are done, so be it. O'Hare back soon.

Many said that expectations should be lower this year. So the logic of that is that we will lose and draw where we might have expected to draw or win and performance will be variable.

And the expectation must also be that at least 2 of the new players turn out to be duds. That is just the nature of the game. And curiously, despite the cliche, Robins has no special expertise with strikers - see Clark-Harris, Chaplin, Walker. So lay off Simms.

Not sure he's the leagues best DM , but he's a good player .. the midfield certainly lacks creativity which is an issue

I mean we’ve been pretty much in control of the last 3 games 2 of which were against last years play off teams and one against a Swansea side we traditionally struggle against.

depends where you want us to finish - top 2? Yes it’s not good enough - but Sheaf, Eccles, Ayari, Palmer will be sufficient until O’Hare returns.

Sheaf and Eccles are both 6's. It probably needs an 8, especially if we've decided Ayari is a 10

Yeah to be fair you’re probably right rexo

robins said he wanted a midfielder to manage the transition though, implying a 6

see Ayari seems like an 8 to me

Just expected us to bring in someone other than a loan to replace our best player that’s all

I’ve always defended Palmer but I wouldn’t call no goals, no assists and being knackered after 60 mins a rich vein of form.
Sheaf is really good as a holding midfielder, Eccles is good at the simple things and getting about the pitch. Neither of them produce penetrative passed in the final third.
