Have you got a link for this? All I've seen is a gossip article before he signed speculating at £15m. We also know that there wasn't much interest outside of Sheff U. And that transfers in have been "rising to" certain figures, so one assumes that is the case with those out as well unless specified. I honestly feel like it was nearer £10-12m up front.

In reality we were never gonna get good enough to instantly replace Hamer. I’d suggest the large majority on this forum haven’t watched him enough to know how much of a gap he would fill anyway, I certainly don’t.

With hindsight I think the 10 signings comment from Robins was clearly made to try and reassure certain players who were alarmed at how thin the squad was at the start of pre-season. Now that Hamer has gone anyway, I don’t think there’s much to read into it in terms of Robins’ squad needs.

Agreed, Styles is decent and is good cover for a variety of players but we’d still need someone like Brekalo and a quality CM for me to feel like we’ve done great business this window.

I think if we want to have any hopes of top 6 we need another CM and a left sided CB. CM permanent but the CB could be a loan. Striker would be nice too.

Yep, I though he looked promising vs Wimbledon. But would prefer we have another one too as I think we can improve on Lati.

You would but if Binks passing stats are to be believed I would love to see him get a few games at lcb . Think Latibeaudiare will be captain long term as well as he is a natural leader on the pitch

People just don't sign after a phone call and the drop of a hat. Getting deals over the line is complex, especially the ones you really want.
