Obikwu is very highly regarded and we can always go back to the box formation if needed

We could revert to the box but also need to consider that we don't currently have one of the best forwards I have seen playing that role in our squad anymore. As @Hobo said we have a couple of younger players on the fringes and Robins is clearly thinking they can step up and I hope he is right as we have a huge number of goals to replace with Gus and Vik going.

Young players have to start sometime, I would have liked another striker recruited(still time) but failing that Obikwu has earned a chance to be fourth choice striker, as long as fans give him a decent chance and not expect an instant superstar he might surprise us all.
He has good skills.

TBF he has bigged up youngsters before. Bapaga, anyone?

I watched a few U18/U21 matches last year and none of these seemed anywhere near ready to step up to first team duties yet. Not saying they won't eventually, but they've got a lot to do to get there IMO.
