So Foden or Rashford on the right? Trippier at left back? BUT NONE PLAY THERE FOR THEIR CLUBS.

Foden often plays on the right for Man City. Assume Rashford will be on the left.

Has Phillips played more times for England than his club team (must be close)!?!

Kane - great player, but dare somebody ask him to play centre forward instead of centre circle (although he set up Walker's goal from there v Ukraine) Maddison and Bellingham were regularly 10 plus yards ahead of him when we were attacking on Saturday.

3 CM against Scotland, Trippier out of position at LB.

We could have actually been adventurous today, gone Rice and Bellingham as the pivot with Foden actually in the 10, with Rashford and someone like Eze flanking him. Just stinks of conservatism and fear.
Bellingham playing as a pivot is a huge waste of his talent.

People forget souness was a world class player in his day .. if he was Brazilian bigging up this England team people would take notice more I'm sure 🤣

I'd tend to agree, but with the talent we have in those front four positions we dont necessarily need him to be anything more.
He's arguably our best player. We need to play to his strengths.

He certainly was…but the sound of his voice can put most people to sleep quicker than Southgate’s football

He was playing like this for Spurs last season and had one of his best seasons ever. A centre forward who doesn't just stay in the same position all the time is often far more effective.

I don't mind if there is a Rasford type player who can run into the space with pace, otherwise its frustrating to see the midfield so clogged with the 2 defensive midfielders as well.

Need pacy wingers moving into the space he creates if you’re doing that. It’s certainly a game plan but we’ve seen it utilised so rarely.
