Players better step up cause we don't have to best two players in the league to turn it around for us this seasonOh wow, things on the forum are getting dumb again. This is dejavu all over again from last season where a load of you had a total breakdown.
Was gonna say
He has said this in previous seasons as well. He does say some odd things at times. Kitching and Latibeaudiere were captains of their clubs. Surely this is something he would have looked to address in the summer.Robins on about a quiet dressing room is the most worrying thing for me. Even ahead of Sheaf out for 6 weeks.
That’s something you absolutely can not have. Even in my limited always hungover when playing Sunday league knowledge.
I suspect it will turn out to be vanEwijk, and based in the season so far it's Latibeaudiere.Callum O'Hare is the best player
Absolutely. There was an excellent article last year, which reflected on the Cov tactic of chaos theory. The team attacking at speed from all over the pitch, causing concern for the opposition, not knowing where City would break from. Robins is having to adjust and that will take timeYeah I think there’s been a deliberate attempt to move away from the style that worked so well in the second half of last season. That is always going to be a rocky process but I’d still have backed us to do it and be promotion favourites before we sold Gus…my optimism disappeared at that point.
To be fair win Monday and it’s ok again
but we need to win Monday
it’s not must win but it’s a bloody important game
Yeah Robins alluded to that. Well not alluded, he was very specific.Too much just passing the ball on and the responsibility to create something-
I think fielding only 5 players might cost us. Certainly we win the element of surprise but…..over 90 minutes?Ayari - Kelly
Allen - Palmer
Godden
Would like to see this next game. We carry the strikers because there is no midfield link so may as well pack the middle and seek greater control.
Felt like we've needed the box the last few games but I don't think Robins wants to drop both Wright/Simms because of the pricetag or Godden because he is scoring.
Agreed, we lose all idea when we’re in that middle thirdI just want to see some green shoots. A solid clean sheet even, the odd bit of attacking spark, Haji Wright controlling a football, that sort of thing. Long season yet but we need some kind of vision to hang onto. As someone else said we’ve lost our identity. We aren’t a counter attacking team. We aren’t particularly effective in possession. Our flair players don’t seem to fully know where each other is yet. Needs some characters to step up.
Wouldn't disagree with that and hopefully we can add Simms to the list in a couple of monthsI suspect it will turn out to be vanEwijk, and based in the season so far it's Latibeaudiere.

The confusing point is he says he wants them to play at a higher tempo and not to move the ball around from side to side. Yet it looks on the pitch like that's what they've been instructed to do.Yeah I think there’s been a deliberate attempt to move away from the style that worked so well in the second half of last season. Jeez-that was a hard watch. Flattering score line of 3-2 when in reality we should have been done and dusted at HT when we managed to get in on terms! Lots of thinking for Robins to do before Huddersfield and I suspect a few changes will be on the cards.
Can get us at 18/1 to go down…Huddersfield are 7/2 on Monday for those who want to earn a lot of money.
'Is the plan to just aimlessly pass from side to side and concede shit goals while Palmer strolls around giving the ball away?'Jeez-that was a hard watch. Flattering score line of 3-2 when in reality we should have been done and dusted at HT when we managed to get in on terms! Lots of thinking for Robins to do before Huddersfield and I suspect a few changes will be on the cards.

That is my wishful thinking. Likelihood being that (with the possible exception of van Ewijk’s injury ruling him out), it will be the same old from Robins. Maybe Simms in for Wright, but still a completely non-descript midfield which creates nothing and offers less resistance to the opposition than a cool summer breeze. Then he might chuck on a striker with 5 minutes to go, and state in the post match interview how we looked more threatening after the change when 2-1 down…Jeez-that was a hard watch. Flattering score line of 3-2 when in reality we should have been done and dusted at HT when we managed to get in on terms! The run of very poor home form we had for most of 21/22 consisted of the same ponderous slow tempo play where Gyo hardly got a look in. That one thrashing of Sheff Utd was the one game where it was played at a high tempo counter attacking pace. With this new slower way of playing I wonder how Vik would have done as he preferred a ball to chase or into his feet to spin.
Alright, the dressing room's full of Fred Elliots. I say the dressing room's full of Fred Elliots. Is this for real? If so it seems like shameless 'othering' from the manager trying to blame and put attention and focus on anything but his team selection and average in game management.
Last year was posting to maximize Gyokeres though, as he deserved it and could carry itWith this new slower way of playing I wonder how Vik would have done as he preferred a ball to chase or into his feet to spin.
Not on MVE's no. Though he also wasn't asked.Did robins say anything on the injury
Hope it’s not badNot on MVE's no. Though he also wasn't asked.
He limped off but it didn't look too severe from where we were.Hope it’s not bad
Robins needs to make it clear that that sort of application isn't acceptable. Same applies to Palmer tonight.I know it's always a risk but playing Wright in the reserves (whatever age they are ) would surely be an option ?
To be fair that’s exactly why he can’t drop Wright or Simms - imagine having to justify 15m sitting on the benchAyari - Kelly
Allen - Palmer
Godden
