Whilst this is true , we also have to think beyond black and white and accept that all teams play poorly from time to time
It’s not time to time though is it. Every game this season even Middlesbrough we’ve had at least a horrendous 30 min spell. It cost us at Leicester, Wimbledon Hull and Cardiff

Not sure I agree
Leicester I’ll let us off - played well generally and on another day if Godden has his shooting boots on we win comfortably, but 10 mins where they had 2 shots and we lose

Wimbledon - we were cruising with a pretty
Much strong team, and contrived to lose

Middlesbrough - if that guy didn’t miss 2 sitters about 60 mins in we’d have probably lost.

hull - second half was a none event and we were just waiting for them to score

last night - awful for the full 90

watford - thank god their defender put it into his own net

Teams will have chances against us , this league is pretty competitive? We've had some fantastic spells in every match apart from yesterday .. there is the nucleus of something for sure , its not quite working as intended yet sure

The problem is we’re not getting better - we’re getting worse. It coincides with us losing our box to box midfielder and thinking Kelly and Eccles together are the answer to this

Like I said to shmeee and this goes back to the black and white thinking , we played poorly yesterday but for large parts of the hame at Hull we were good .. we lost the plot last 20 after the changes

If yesterday shows us we're getting worse then that's fine , but on that basis any improvement against Huddersfield will be seen in the same light

I personally think we’ll win the next two games and all will be fine.

but at the moment - we’ve really hashed up signing Kitching. There had to be someone out there we could have Got for 5m that could play similar to the box to box role Hamer did. We’re going to struggle with Kelly and Eccles in the middle - and Wright’s confidence is only going to sink.

we’ve also got the inevitable Godden knock which inexplicably rules him out for 2/3 months

it’s just frustrating. Everyone said we needed another CM before Gus left. Sheaf Kelly and Eccles are all made of glass and all play the same role in the team. The fact we weren’t even looking for a young understudy let alone a replacement in the event of the inevitable is criminal.

Whats Goddens record run of consecutive games? Didn’t someone say 12/13?

Yeah it was either 12 or 13, he's in his longest injury free spell of his career here

Which to be fair, the club worked on his foot , seem to have got it right and besides a burst appendix would have been available for 45 from 46 in the league last season

Ah right sorry my bad crack on with that narrative then

Not a narrative. I’m just worried the only striker who knows where the net is is due an injury.

Mate Ive genuinely had to check I took my SSRIs this morning. Not happy at all. Do we know MvE is OK? Lose him and our only goal threat and I’m done.

Well like I said if we are to be balanced , he's been "fit" since coming back from his foot injury i think last game of 21/22 .. he had a burst appendix last year which to most people isn't really a sport related injury

He missed the millwall game last season inbetween

Well he does need to track back / defend as the two goals conceded when Sakamoto was on the pitch attest.

If he's using his RWB/LWB as defenders rather than attackers, he may as well play Bidwell. That's why Giles didn't work and why Sakamoto won't work. Unless you are an absolute machine, like Dabo in League 1, it's very difficult to be truly effective going forward if you're also requires to defend.

The current set up seems flawed with our squad. We've got 3 centre halves, 2 very defensive midfielders and 2 full backs excepted to defend as much as attack. 7 defensive players with 2 immobile strikers is bonkers.

I think MR missed out in the window by trying to avoid getting loans in
At this level a couple of quality PL creative loans can make the difference

I am not sure the 2 we have in fit that bill

Do I sound like a balanced man this morning?

Can get away with it when you just need Vik and Gus on the ball going forwards.

The problem is, Robins wouldn't allow him to use his ability.

I still sense that's the problem with MVE currently. He's being told he need to track back.

Hence why he's moaning about Sakamoto with the goal.

Nailed it, he does the same with strikers. 🤬🤬🤬
