MVE felt a thigh issue at the end of the first half but wanted to continue.

Start of second half he couldn't and may have done more damage, and MR is blaming the player saying they need to understand how their bodies work. Surely it's our managements job and physio to make that decision!

Thing is if you took off every player who had a niggle youd never finish the game with 11 on the pitch

When you assess a player on field you are going purely by their symptoms so you have to trust the player to report accurately

Surely Da Silva can go on the right and get Bidwell back in

4-6 weeks heal then rehab maybe? At least part of that is the international break . Clutching at straws

How long does this sort of tear usually take?
It’s potentially season-ending

“Return to sport is governed by the ability to perform sport specific exercises and having adequate range of motion and strength. This is generally between 6-8 months from the day of surgery.”

I appreciate having to bed in the new players, but I feel it's been harsh that Bidwell has been mainly left out so far this season after his performances last year

Fucking hell. Most exciting signing we’ve made by far and we’re going to barely see him play.

Great. Of course he couldn't have just had a bad cramp or dead leg, something simple could he. We can't ever just have small injuries.

FFS cannot catch a break at the moment. Time to reshuffle the pack. Let's hope someone steps up

Eccles moves over to rwb and Ayari replacing him in midfield seems much more likely. Gives us an opportunity for more variety in midfield too. Moving Dasilva across results in a left footer on the right and the same midfield.

Massive blow this as van Ewijk, Dasilva and Latibeaudiere have been the only successes of the new signings so far.
