Only caught the 2nd half but for the last part of it, we were shocking. Seemed nobody could really be arsed. First touch of a few were terrible. He does need time, but Wright had a stinker, that feeble cross in the last few mins just seemed to epitomise the the whole team performance/effort from what I’ve seen.

We just don’t look that exciting, well drilled side from last season. Fair enough we’ve got a lot of new players that need to gel, but from what I’ve seen tonight, that was terrible.

Got faith in Robins to turn it around, but massive questions need to be asked of the recruitment department imo.
The first half was a hell of a lot better to be fair.

I’m just frustrated

I genuinely just don’t think we’re very good to be honest

It's not an unfair point, but daft as it sounds I think we're back in a kind of rebuilding phase.

If either Simms or Wright had clicked straight away then it's a different story, but that's football.

For me personally, Robins has done enough to earn a bit of trust. He's shown he can turn things around, and I'm confident he will.

On the plus side until the last minute of the game we'd defended pretty well. There's plenty to build on here, imho.

When Wright came on we were under the cosh, I would've been tempted to bring Simms off (or even Godden) and sure up the midfield a bit

Ayari looked shot.

Ideally we have an extra man in midfield.

I also thought Wright did alright when he came on. Ran the channels well and added some energy.

He snatched at the chance probably out of desperation. Got to keep supporting the team as tearing into them won’t do any good.

Mate, I get supporting players and that but we didn't pay £8m (and the rest) for someone to chase dead balls down the wing and walk back to the half way line

Agreed. We had the game won and were in control.
What we weren't was in control. Huddersfield were by far the more threatening team after the break.

I think Ogrizovic is usually a good voice for the club but I think he’s been talking some absolute bollocks tonight. Only so many times you can shout the word “gel” at the team.

Atmosphere was shocking tonight.

Long gone are the days when the noise carried regardless of the results. Dragged the players through games at home 2 years ago.

Not sure what the fans were meant to do when everybody could see they were getting into the game but seemingly robins didn't.

Then he just made his textbook subs that he would have made at 4-0 up.

It was awful. The fans have done their bit, we have spent about 20 million or whatever and we were holding onto a one nil at home against Huddersfield.

Then we subbed the wing backs off who were having a decent game.

It was non-stop 2 years ago regardless of the score. Dragged us into wins.

Yasin Ayari’s first goal for the Sky Blues helped to secure a point against Huddersfield Town at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Ellis Simms unleashed a ferocious effort which was tipped onto the bar by Lee Nicholls and came off Ayari and went into the back of the net.

Ben Wilson produced some fine saves in the second half to help secure the points and keep a third clean sheet of the season.

Quality reporting from the club

There's no quality in the team.
The best we can do is Simms, COH, Allen and Sheaf and hope we scrape mid table.
The waste of money this season will cost us for years. It had to be used to bring 1 or 2 quality players in. It's been wasted.

Running the risk of sounding alarmist, but we're in a spot of bother here. The spine of the team.consists of Fadz, Eccles, Kelly, Allen and Godden. Fond of all of them, but that's basically our League One side from a few years ago.

The squad we have at our disposal doesn't get any better for another 6 games or so either. This could get very rough.

The multiple signings created expectation, the reality of our losses in Vik and Hamer are now coming home to roost . We look bang average again. Injuries have crippled us yet again all over the pitch but the biggest issue is we’ve signed a load of duds up front 😕

When the subs were brought on.

Huddersfield were well on top and should have scored, but when we brought Wright and Allen on, it changed the game and we took the control back.

City almost wrapped up all three points three minutes from time, but Lee Nicholls produced a stunning save to keep out Bobby Thomas.

However, Ayari’s first goal for the Club would prove to be enough, as City got back to winning ways against the Terriers.

But, late in the day, the Terriers levelled the game.
